Thanks chief for d complement lol. But I'm converting the garage into a room or study. Its on a full acre. Its just an old plan (building)from d 80s. Inherited d property from my Pop's.
It actually had been roofed before. But due to long term neglect, the roofing was vandalized and stolen. Since its mine now, I'm planning to complete it and move in before my landlady throws me out.

Like l said earlier, l dont want us to complicate the issue at hand, by involving family members and it was on the basis of that l "advised" that if truly you called (NB: l said "if" or you were "repeatedly" calling Brabus wife, that is not necessary.
l can understand a single call or two but when it gets too much, it may be construed as something else.

Having said that, like every other forum member, l have gone through your posted "evidences". Its more than enough.

*It is clear as daylight, that you were promised a GENUINE Building approval. You paid for it and you were upfront that your Consent is still under processing.
*It is clear that Brabus also confirmed that he understood your Consent is still "under processing" and you gave him the processing number.
That is enough to cover you for Consent........ and the Approval to be done in an "official and genuine" manner.


Now, we need to ask the questions:
*What else should Maverick have provided, for him to get a GENUINE Building Approval, which he paid for?

*The Approval that we see up there, IF GENUINE, MUST DEFINITELY HAVE RECEIPTS accompanying it because to issue that, some of the money MUST go into Government Accounts, in a Bank. Example is the "Assessment fee"! (But it is not genuine).
This has nothing to do with "P.R" money which is usually not receipted.

*Brabus actually provided a breakdown of the required fees so, that proves that what they were discussing isn't some "protection fee" but a valid and genuine Building Approval.

*Let us also take a closer look at that APPROVAL on the Building Plan. That IS NOT a "Genuine Approval", ... l am sure it is 100% FAKE!
One particular stamp is even missing: That of the Lagos State urban and regional Planning Board, with the district name, time and date that goes along with it.


Now, let me be very honest with you guys.
One of the reasons l was so interested in this matter of "building approval" is because their current General Manager at Alausa is a very close family friend.

l am going to bring this matter to his attention if it cannot be resolved by this weekend.
I will print that page where the "Approval" was stamped for his attention.
If that is the only way to resolve this issue, then so shall it be.

l think Maverick is entitled to a FULL REFUND of his money.... seeing the full details of what transpired, now.
I also think Brabus should ask his "approval officer" to refund the money he paid to him otherwise, l will facilitate his "exposure to his boss" and he will not only lose his job, he might end-up in jail. he has committed FORGERY and FRAUD, IMPERSONATION of other MPP & UD officials

@Brabus: Can l have the details of the "Approval official" who signed that Building plan, the one you paid to.
His picture and phone number will make things happen even faster.
@Maverick, you can also provide them if you have those things.

In the meantime, my builder is suggesting a 3" german floor for the house part and 4" for the garage. He suggested it as a way of cost saving since this is supposed to be a budget and fast garage apartment build.

Basically you multiply the length by the breadth and height and then by a ratio which is specific to sharp sand and granite separately.

It's a damn shame that we have to resort to calculus to thwart sneakiness from some vendors.

Also, at the time of the approval thing, I didnt know that the area doesn't have a layout yet (why would I proceed if i knew, doesn't make sense), it was when it was taken to Alausa for verification late last year that they made it clear to me that how could you have got approval when the area doesnt have a layout yet, they also confirmed it as fake. If there is any evidence to show that I approved the processing of a fake building plan despite knowing that consent is still in processing at the time, the area has no layout or any other condition, I will ask Bosun to provide this, its not a word vs word, I operate based on facts which is what i have provided for all to see.

How the heck did he get your wife's number? That number ought not to be available to your clients? You should have multiple numbers from all networks where you can be reached. just a lesson for another client.

In my opinion, both Brabus and Maverick need to have a face to face meeting to resolve these issues. There has been a lot of clamour for Brabus to refund money but like they say "A man convinced against his will remain unconvinced". Arbitrators are doing a good job but so far the success has been limited. Both parties need to meet and agree. In the interim, before that agreement is reached, i think there needs to be a ceasefire from both parties for a specified period of time to see what can be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of hostilities.
