Most times when I come across couples who have spent few or those who have spent several years together, I begin to wonder what really went wrong, especially when one or both partners decide to have extra-marital affairs. Did the love grow cold, did the sex become detestable, did the cooking become tiresome? What exactly went wrong and what should the younger generation expect? I love LOVE! Am usually excited when I see two people in love whether old or young! But what exactly happens in some relationships/marriages that makes the love fade? Matured opinions please...

Another is maturity. When there are fights in a relationship, both parties or most of the time the man decides to give the woman the "silent treatment". It really hurts her and the man expects the lady to beg which she does most of the time even when she isn't the wrong one ...;but there is an elastic limit. There is a point when the woman will decide to stand her ground and it is up to the man to be sensible and leave his ego and pride and work things. However, most men never do and instead call the woman a proud or disrespectful woman. This destroys everything. Couples should learn to talk

*im not perfect. In fact I'm giving the silent treatment to someone now. It is a form of emotional blackmail. When the person can't take it anymore the person will get to a point of no return. It is a foolish and childish act.

another reason is...never do the mistake of marrying because you love the fellow, cos love on it's own fades with time...this is the answer to your post...when you get too farmiliar with something, you tend to lose interest on the thing with time.

My sister it's simply because men are losing their Masculinity to women in the society.

Sure, women want sex, but they want to fall in love more. Unfortunately for them, they rarely find their the man of their dreams, so they just settle with whoever they get and grow dependent on him whilst hoping he'll change.

well maybe because their love was built on material things or physical appearance not from the inside.

Weda u marry frm d inside or frm d fence it doesn't change anytin....pple she shd device new ideas wit deir partners....alotta tinz counts in keeping or sustaining a relationship ranging frm d way dey joke abt tinz, tinz dey discuss abt, secrets dey hide & tell each orda, d character dey xhibit & aw it changes ova time, d mind set of both parties ova each orda.....4 example ma parents av bin married 4 abt 26yrs + but I learnt dat wen eva derz a quarell or slight misunderstanding ma dad is always no ready to drag issues wit mumcy which kills d misunderstanding immediately, he also Told mumcy b4 marriage dat on no account no mata d d dispute dey engage in d deir marriage she dares not sleep outside deir matrimonial bed & he told her neva to open her mouth to insult him & same applies to him...he also doesn't fails in hiz homely responsibilities both on her & kids, u can imagine dat even up till dis day wen he comes frm work even b4 he come dwn 4rm hiz car d 1st tin he says is "werz ma wife/ gal"?......so staying 2geda as a couple is determined by so many un seen factors & av vowed to honour whoeva I settle dwn wit in d future wit dat as well
