We'll have to beat them first. I do not trust Valencia one bit. They might be ailing but with us around, they would suddenly become a force, all their ailments forgotten! So we shan't count our chickens just yet. The two games we won against them last year remains a lesson for me on how we could have easily lost both and now this season, they've got a point off us!
Every team becomes a force when it's us,Take Espanyol for example angry...Yes they might give us trouble at a point in tonight's game, but there is no way we ain't winning,Only question is,by how many goals? grin grin

In as much as I subscribe to what JP said about taking things one game at a time, and also not counting our eggs before they are hatched, I still believe we are winning tonight. In fact, I envision us winning the tie tonight, thereby making the reverse fixture a mere formality.

Don't expect me to dig all nonsense words u and Ur goons here used to praise bisque t in the past as the dopest thing in barca after legend beer dmcdad shares here. At least it's on record that it was xavi n not sluggish busquets that made Ur team to work.

My opinion on any issues here are mine. I do not speak for anyone else. Do not drag me into your childish, hide & seek games. tongue

Shame I cannot see this game. In fact i haven't been able to see any of our cup games. I wish i were able to see how we would put them to the sword. I wasn't convinced with our last game against a 9-man Athleti. undecided

If... if.... lol!
We take it a game at a time. There's no guarantee we would win all those games. If we continue to switch off during games as we have been doing lately, then sooner or later, we might just not be able to nick it. Valencia, Celta and Arsenal and Sevilla are all great, formidable teams, all able to raise there game on their day, and compete admirably with the very best. Arsenal game as a matter of fact, gives me the greatest concern. Arsene Wenger is an old fool but he can mastermind a great game against us. Cech have joined them. He and that old cow Wenger can conspire to stage a nightmare. grin undecided tongue

Where you expecting me to talk like an arsenal fan and say we would beat all of them and win the trophies??

I understand u perfectly but from the Lil I said, it could work In some games. Let's be hopeful while we take it one after the other.

We should believe these guys mentality is very strong and fixtures like these ain't new to them. They just need to be on their A game

Forget el classico. We just need to stay on top with min of 4 points prior to it. We only need a draw and we are good to go .

I understand your worries bruv. I was a bit concerned too, but I thought within me that the players are doing all they could to salvage some rest at every opportunity.

I was able to download BeiN Sport's post match analysis of the match, and not being able to kill the game off was one of the talking points. Their reps in Camp Nuo made it clear it was the intention of the team not to burn steam since it seemed they were already winners especially with Atletico being 2 men down. Although they would have equalized, but that I think is part of the game.

The fans weren't satisfied too and that was why the BeiN reporter noted that at a point Mascherano had to cool the Camp Nuo down, that the game was in control and that there ain't any need of burning extra energies.

I would say we give them the benefits of the doubt and see how things pan out henceforth. I think that as an excuse is understandable. But subsequent games would prove if it was really a case of not wanting to burn energies or...maybe fatigue.

Forget El Clasico? Never!

There is no way one can write Madrid off. Besides, I highlighted the fact that the games leading to El Clasico would be tough, and not necessarily referring to the game against Madrid.

U misunderstood me. I know what you were saying and what I meant was if we can be 4 points(min) clear on top of the log prior to the match against madrid. We r good then cos all we need would just be a draw in that match

I think they were trying to conserve their energies. I agree with that line. They knew it would be Valencia in midweek and a congested Feb and March fixtures.

In as much as I wanted more goals, I think the guys intentionally relaxed. Athletico came to the match with the aim of breaking legs. They were so bent on their mission and never gave up even when they were less in numbers. We could not afford to take the match to them as they would definitely have succeeded in their mission. Hence, the need to drop the tempo and allow them have the ball. If they had equalised, I can bet the boys still had enough steam to overturn the scoreline. They just needed to thread with caution to avoid any injury to our players. We destroyed Athletic by 6 goals after having a red card, but we couldn't do that to A. Madrid because of their negative intention.

cheesy cheesy cheesy

Be bold to stand by your view. You had a point with that your post. If a player leaves a team and his absence is not felt as you pointed out then no biggie about the player. We are on the same page. All hail sergio busquets , xavi can continue smoking shisha in Qatar. Busquets - King of Tiki Taka cheesy cheesy cheesy

Look at the day that piece was published.

In fact, after the day the piece was published, Xavi did n't win any individual award to be in a pole position to displace anyone on that list. It's high time barca fans saw the truth as it is. Xavi is a legend but not the greatest midfielder of all-time. Dayo mentioned maradona, i did nt argue it, but Xavi? Capital NO.

Messi is just a goal away from scoring his 500 career goals, he got a penalty and passed it to Neymar to take. #humilitypersonified
