EteEdoho:Thank you. Have been watching how the ijaws and even others help in relegating the tiv tribe, or is it because the tivs are quiet? Can't take that anymore. 1 Like |

Kyase:it was Edwin Clark who started diz fraud of Ijaws being 4th largest tribe. Tiv people are the 4th largest tribe. Ijaws make up 95% of Bayelsa, small population in Delta and Rivers. Ijaws will be around 6million.. 2 Likes |

its Kanuri /kəˈnuːri/[3] is a dialect continuum spoken by some four million people, as of 1987, in Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon, as well as small minorities in southern Libya and by a diaspora in Sudan. It belongs to the Western Saharan subphylum of Nilo-Saharan. Kanuri is the language associated with the Kanem and Bornu empires which dominated the Lake Chad region for a thousand years. they are more than 10 million now 2 Likes 1 Share |

@OP this isn't a question pls! How can you compare the population of Tiv and Ijaw? Ijaw that is present in Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Delta and Ondo states? The reason behind this argument(non argument really) is because Ijaws have been balkanised by the Nigeria State into different states(some states as minorities). This is why we are agitating for Toru Ibe and Oil Rivers states. Ijaws deserve 3 exclusive Ijaws states to tell its status. In fact, it shall not be well with the British 14 Likes 3 Shares |

Udmaster: The Tiv are the 4th largest ethnic group in Nigeria. Tiv language is spoken by about 7 million people in Nigeria, with a few speakers in Cameroon. http://howng.com/tiv-people-and-their-culture/ |

Ijaws Are NOT the 4th largest tribe. - The Oil Rivers and Toru-Ibe states that they are agitating for is Controversial, because many lands they put in the map of these proposed two agitated states DO NOT BELONG TO THEM. 33 Likes 3 Shares |

Kyase:Who was part of the few that governed the State? Am I Jonathan? I don't blame you! I really don't! If not for the system we won't be talking this. If the British had consulted my ancestors in 1914, I am very sure we would have rejected the arrangement. If the British had addressed our concern in the 1940s, I'm very sure that all these won't come up! If Jonathan had convoked SNC, we would have addressed this nonsense. |

The ijaws were NEVER the 4th largest. There are several minority groups both in SS and in MB with higher population than ijaws. The ijaw are just land grabbers and history distorter. Half of the states they claim they are in, they are NOT and a significant number of people they claim as ijaws such as ndoki, ibeno, etc are NOT. The ijaw population is small. I personally think they are probably the 8th largest at best. 30 Likes 1 Share |
