Yes it is,ielts administrators have always find away to reduce one's score especially the writing or reading.ielts has become a nightmare for migrants.if the will consider overall bandscore it will be better rather than sticking to high score in each band. 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by gratefulme40: 10:12pm On Jan 31, 2016 |
barbiee: It wasnt my first attempt my sister although i consistently passed the other parts except reading. I only learnt something new which i presumed made a difference. . When you are doing the reading, read the questions first before reading the passage. That way, you know what to look out for in the passage .the answers come in a sequential order. If the answer to no 1 is in paragraph A, the answer to no 2 would most likely be in paragraph B. So, dont go back and forth looking for answers Thirdly, i know loads of tips say dont read the passage, rather scan or skim to find the answers. However, i am of the opinion that you should do a very quick read because the questions are really paraphrased, so you might miss the paragraph with the answer or never find it all because its been so paraphrased so you need to get the idea being communicated in the paasage to be able to answer correctly. In listening, just do lots of practice. There are uncountable practice tests with answers on youtube. You would so get used to it that you will literally answer the listening part without listening. Had 8.5 2x in listening. When it comes to writing, spend time and learn how to do an academic writing. The use of linking words and how to put your opinion down. As per speaking, just keep talking. Dont worry if the examiner interrupts you. They just wanna know that you can hold a conversation in English, besides, they are timing you. So, once the timr limit for a particular question elapses, they will interrupt and ask another question. Try not to speak too fast. Try not to give responses that seem crammed. Take time to think before talking. Use expressions like hmm, erm but not excessively. Try and stay relaxed. The examiner is a human being. I find myself laughing and chatting with them. I had 8 once and 7.5. Over all, practice, practice, practice. I learnt to get comfortable with the time especially the reading. I practiced till i could finish each reading passage and answer the questions in about 17 minutes, so i finish the reading part in about 50minutes and have about 10minutes to quickly go over it. 23 Likes 4 Shares |

barbiee: i did not subscribe to any. Just go to youtube type ielts listening practice in the search button (you can also do same with speaking so you see a couple of speaking samples).....loads of test samples will pop up Play and practice with them Most of them have answers at the end of each listening, so you can mark and score yourself 3 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by gratefulme40: 1:04pm On Feb 07, 2016 |
TheArchangel: Google NMC UK and go to 'joining the register link', go to 'trained outside Uk, EU and EEA', follow the link to see the step by step details. But basically, you need to do a test of english and the required one is International,English Language Testing System,(IETLS), the acceptable score is a minimum of 7 in all the parts with an average band of 7. After this stage, you proceed to do a computer based theory test (CBT), i understand there are centres in Nigeria where CBT is done. I think Barbiee knows about them centres. if you pass CBT, you can get a visa to come over to do your OSCE. OSCE is the last stage. About when to start....start today/tomorrow if you can. IELTs registration is done online. You can also pay online but i dont think you will be able to pay with your naija atm card. You can raise a draft in the bank for the payment 2 Likes 3 Shares |

I got a question about the below: CGFNS Certification Program This evaluation is the same, but requires you to take the CGFNS Qualifying Exam. Everything in a Credentials Evaluation Service Professional Report CGFNS Qualifying Exam $445 Fee What if I attended a private school of Midwifery that is now comatose, that is students are no longer being admitted, and the school is closed, due to the fact that the founder of the school is now dead, and the children of the founder and the principal are at log a heads, so everything is in a mess, and the principal ransacked the school's records office and took documents home, and now the husband of the principal is also dead, so she is out of the city where the school is situated mourning, if the principal is in possession of some documents including mine, how then will it be possible for the school to send CGFNS the validation it requires of my certificates? Any ideas? Will CGFNS refuse to process my application because of this issue with the school of Midwifery? Will they go ahead with just the information received from the school of nursing which happens to be different? 2 Likes 1 Share |
