Don't be confused, we are talking about the hierarchy of the throne and not necessary the person on it. That is Oduduwa's Throne, which is the number 1 hierarchy. The King of Kings (In Yorubaland)..

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi paid a visit to the Alake of Egbaland, His Royal Highness Oba Micheal Aremu Gbadebo in his palace in Ogun state today February 7th. During the visit, the Alake re-emphasised the order of hierarchy of the major Yoruba Obas as; the Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba of Benin, Alake of Egbaland and Awujale in that order. The Alaafin is the political head of the Yorubas while the Ooni is the spiritual head. I used to think that the seven sons of Oduduwa were the ranking Obas. Make we dey learn dey go...
