That is how it is most of the time; a lady that was humble before, when she gets to america, she learns that she can push her man out of the house whether she's at fault or not. she starts misbehaving so that she can trap you with the feminist law over there. If she bleeps a stranger right before your eyes, the law over there don't recognise that. But if you make her angry or annoy her, the law will come after you and take it full course. OP, take your wife along with you. And please, when you get a divorce or she gets you jailed, I want that update here please. If paraventure she didn't maltreat treat you or force you out of your own house because she is a woman, then accept my apologies in advance. This is what's happens most of the time. You will be a lucky man if you don't end up like several other guys who made the mistake of taking a woman from to there. hglmkope: 1 Like 2 Shares |

I understand your point. I just don't buy the idea of generalizing. Op's fiancée might be an exception to the norm. I just think that we should be careful when advising others. oshaosha2014: 5 Likes |

Mcayofficial: the whole thing lies with your wife.. if you can convince her,do registry on tuesday and do your traditional wedding on thursday,i swear that will reduce your crowd.make it traditional around 10 a.m and reception immediately at the same venue so latest by 5,u are done.my friend did the same and by the time most people were bck frm work to be able to attend d wedding, dey had finishd.people are more concerned with d wedding, wat about the marriage afta d wedding. abeg dnt go broke just to feed people like my father says.lol.. and d part about taking yur wife, pls do..ders no point getting married if u gonna leave her here and just come once in a while wen its time to impregnante her..lol 2 Likes |

ronald4lif: Who is this person sef? Some people would just spread their fingers and start typing without weighing their words. So its okay for the man to marry a Nigerian wife, keep her here to check her character and then go abroad and be banging another woman for green card after which he wud bring his wife over but its not okay for d wife to come and join him there to bang other white men. You are entitled to your opinion. If I may ask, what alternative would you give to your brother if he insists on marrying a lady that lives in Nigeria? oshaosha2014: |

Mcayofficial: Very easy. Buy more bags of water than bottled water. Cook plenty subsidy rice and mak e sure the meat is chopped very small. As for gifts buy more of cheap gifts and give good ones to special guests. You can call a rubber tray company : As for cake, let It be chopped by an igbo woman. As for drinks, buy can beverages of assorted types plenty, same with can alcohol. Don't forget to cook plenty rice, make the rice plenty. It should be served first, so by the time wey dem dey bring the native food out, plenty people belle go don swallow rice tire. Native foods gulps a lot of money 2 Likes 1 Share |

Mcayofficial, My suggestion: Tell wiffie to pick between a big wedding or relocating with you. Just sit back and watch. Na she go tell her parents NO. End of discussion. OR In Yoruba land, na bride's family dey spend on reception oo. If the parents can't afford their 'dream' wedding, then they have no right to insist on an expensive one. I honestly do not understand the stress peeps give themselves because of a day's ceremony. Insist on the amount you are willing to spend, those not in favor should add their own money... 1 Like 1 Share |

Hey man! Remember this is Africa! Nigeria! If u make it strictly by invitation, then u will have to offend so many people, what criteria will u use to invite those who u will invite? So I will now come to ur wedding and a security man will bounce me out? biko! See, to me if u want even less than 200 pple, fix the wedding on a Tuesday or Wednesday, do court wedding and not church(u don't have to cater for any choir, pastor or church society) make the reception very brief just beside the court premises, by say 1 or 2pm, u should be done with the wedding and already on ur way outa that city! 2 Likes |

May be scheduling the wedding date to be a weekday can help. Most people, including the church members, should be at work and unable to make it. 1 Like |

This is a bitter truth, 95 percent of Nigerian girls taken abroad by their spouse end up in failed marriage. My guy if you can manage to keep the gal ln naija and visit her every 4 months then send her $100 every month your dignity will last forever. oshaosha2014: |

Why are you limiting the number now,, and you are not Nigeria based, don't you come home with any foreign currency? Like £ $ € ,just give back to the society OK, or better still take your wife to be to your base and do it the oyibo way |
