Prolly one person lied through an arraggee genotype test,I think all of you should go for a confirmation test but if things are still the same,u should just relocate to reedeem camp(real madrid) or synagogue (barca). Depending on which one of them you choose, someday in one of those night vigils God might just decide to have mercy on you and ur family.

lame,,convince what,,no laboratory report can be changed by a doctor,,except the haematologist himself falsified the result which he wouldnt do because it has his signature on the report form,,and eventually a false result who demand him to loose his license which he wouldnt do that for how much,,, d hubby should tell were he gt his result from..#great haematologist

Honestly speaking, this is what have being going through for the past 17yrs concerning my son, mix up in genotype....first, AA and when we discovered that the boy is SS, we checked and it was AS... but ours is a bit different because up till now we have not recorded any serious crisis(TO THE GLORY OF GOD), The boy is now in the university now hale and healthy to the Glory of God. Let me advise you on three things to do.
1. take the child to sickle cell foundation, opp LUTH @Idi-araba for consultation.
2. Register the child in any General Hospital for periodical check-up
3. Hand over the Child to His Creator with strong faith that He shall live but not die.

Perfectly understand the travails of the mum, as the care for a sickle cell disease child isn't isnt a joke. From the foregoing, it's not out of place to take it that the child is indeed SS and suffered an acute sequestration crisis while playing at school. There prolly was a mix up (deliberate or not) in the previous test done with her spouse. She has to quickly exit the denial stage of grief which she is in right now and accept the reality.
Yes there is a cure for sickle cell disease, (stem cell transplant) however it's not gained wide acceptance in Nigeria and is limited by the high cost of the procedure. A few of our teaching Hospitals offer this treatment (UBTH-Benin, UCH -Ibadan, LUTH -Lagos.) the much I know.However she would have to discuss with the doctors at the primary care hospital on the basics of management for her kid.
On to the last issue - Nothing stops her from having further kids and it doesn't mean they would all turn out to be SS, the apparent chance that she has further SS kids is 1:4(one ratio four pregnancies) for each pregnancy. Interestingly, she could determine early on in the pregnancy, as early as the 5th week if the child has SS or not and it could be treated in the womb (in -utero) or otherwise. These advancements are offered in one or two of our health centres (especially private whose names I can't mention). Essentially, it's not the end of the world.

Before dating any girl the first i ask for is blood type. One of you lied to the church. The risk of bringing another ss into the world is too much. Stop having children. The church do not want you to become prayer point for them that is why they demanded for the test. Please if you love him stay with him and manage the situation if not find your way out of the marriage. An SS child is a waste (really sorry).

if his a sickler and has swollen stomach dominique needs to do a scan as soon as possible... internal swelling can block flow of blood especially in sicklers cos sickle cell causes blockage of arteries and veins and prevent blood flow which leads to blood clot which could lead to crisis...

that the child is still alive is amazing... his case is critical
