Now we're talking! I'm a huge Buhari supporter but this budget is nothing short of fraudulent! I know every administration must surely inflate the budget but don't do it so glaringly. Chop and let's chop, I see nothing in the budget that can improve the economy, nothing that would improve unemployment. I hope this is rectified as soon as possible and I hope the president becomes more active in the construction of the budget knowing fully well that Nigerians are watching angry angry angry

O yes! all these loopholes you are seeing today also existed in all previous budgets even with higher figures. The only reason why you are aware of this sleaze today is because there is a desire to correct it. This fraud has always been the tradition in all Nigerian budgets since the days of the military. When you hear of the word 'budget cabal,' it did not start in 2015 and it did not start in 2016. As a matter of fact, the greatest criticism on this budget is the fact that it was just a duplicate of previous budgets, NO CHANGE. So yes, just in case you don't know, all these dubious figures have always existed in Nigeria's budget even before I was born. You can simply go to the website of the budget office and download the 2014 and 2015 budgets, they bear a striking resemblance to this present budget.

I am only disappointed though because I expected the APC to put in some due diligence in cleaning up this mess and CHANGE the past order. It is purely a case of ignorance for anyone to think this mess started in 2015 or 2016; as a matter of fact, exposing it now is the beginning of the end of this sleaze.
I have read your comments, what baffles me is your sentiments. I mean just view things objectively. Forget the wailers; You!!! Use ur eyes and carry out critical observations yourself. You are trying to put up a lame excuse that jonathan budget was the same...Then I begin to wonder why was Jonathan booted out in the first place? wastefulness true or false? If you can't make a change when the tension is High(all eyes on you) is it when we let our guards down and allow you to round up? Now I ask you if this budget reflects Gej(clueless) budget and we booted him out....will you brace up yourself to boot out PMB....when the time comes if he continues to tow this part? or are you going to shift the goal post to another 16yrs....i am waiting for your response!

I blame South West .

If not, north alone cannot decide buhari's faith in a free and fair election. The South West who claim to be educated fell victim of hausa fulani manipulation.

My respect to south south and south east who refuse to dash buhari even one näira vote. This are the most educated people because the see a Buhari presidency as s waste of vote.

Buhari is confused walai and i enjoy saraki and patriotic members in the senate to impeach buhari without much delay

NO NORMAL PRESIDENT WOULD PRESENT HIS ANNUAL BUDGET WITHOUT A SCANT KNOWLEDGE OF IMPORTANT ISSUES IN THE BUDGET.

The DESPERATION by some SW and Northern politicians to take over control of proceeds from crude oil in the Niger delta led to the conspiracy to impose an economic illiterate like Buhari upon Nigeria.

Buhari doesn't possess the intellectual capacity to understand what a budget contains before he presented it to the public. Buhari supporters knew this.

GMB‬ Speech While Addressing Nigeria Community In The United Kingdom.

I Will Maintain a modest lifestyle as President -Muhammadu Buhari.

“One of the major killers of our economy apart from corruption is waste. Our scarce resources are being plundered away very carelessly and unnecessarily wasted. Let me give an instance, presently, there are more than 6 aircraft in the presidential fleet. What do you call that? Billions of naira is budgeted every year for the maintenance of these aircraft not to talk of operational cost and other expenses.

You may want to ask what a Nigerian President is doing with so many aircraft when a Prime Minister of Britain fly around using the same public aircraft like an ordinary Briton.

Go and check and compare with that of any developed country in the world, the office of the Nigerian President is a very expensive one inspite our high level of poverty, lack and joblessness. Despite all these, you still find a Nigerian Minister spending about N10billion to charter an aircraft for just one year. Now, for me, when we come into office, all these waste will be blocked and properly channelled into our economy. We intend for instance, to bring back our National carrier, the Nigerian airways. We shall do this by bringing all the aircraft in the presidential fleet into the Nigerian airways and within a year increase the fleet into about 20.

This is going to be interesting.

I give it to PT, most of what is captured here are totally unjustifiable, especially under the current economic realities. Some of these items have lifespans of over 10years so I just don't understand why it has become a norm for our leaders to keep proposing expenditures on these items in every budget! Take car jacks, caution triangles, and kitchen utensils for instance. I criticised Jonathan's government for this and surely find it unacceptable it is repeating itself under this government.

Kudos to our press for being steadfast in their duty. This is the sort of "opposition" we need and not one that is bent on pulling down the government at all cost, criticising in a manner that suggest an emotional breakdown.

I hope these anomalies are brought to Baba's notice. It would be VERY unfair to the good people of Nigeria, especially Baba's fervent supporters like my humble self to have the budget passed without reviewing these expenditures.
Who told you bubu was not aware? Who presented the budget to the Senate? Will you for once stop deceiving yourself in attempt to deceive others. Nigerians know better now. Thank God for freedom of information.
