check this confession from a Nigerian man; you must agree with me that every man desires a good, doting and caring wife. In fact because it is usually very hard to find a good woman most men do not bother to look out for one while the lucky ones are always thankful to God for blessing them with such a woman. My situation is different. I met and married a good woman but after being married to her for three years, I can finally testify that I am tired of pretending to love my wife and our little daughter. Marrying my wife was a huge mistake and as much as I try, my marriage has turned out to be a failure. My wife is beautiful to an extent, definitely intelligent and totally faithful to me. She is a good mother to our only daughter and can cook a nice meal when she wants to, but the problem is that I still see her as a housemate I cannot eject. A cross I must carry till death. A barrier to my emotional fulfillment and since I can no longer endure the physical torture of living with her everyday, I have decided to liberate myself from the trap we stepped into three years ago. Speechless3:Hmmn... Obinze Maduewesi and Kosiso. |
Re: Confessions of a Nigerian Husband by ObaKlaz: 6:16pm On Feb 09, 2016 |
She's cute, intelligent, can cook, a good mother to your child and faithful to you - which, to me, is the icing on the cake, considering how our society and the world at large is these days. Open your heart and stick to her, Brother. You're prolly seeing someone else, but please, don't let your village peeps win. Don't throw all that away for some flash in the pan. |

ObaKlaz:Yea! He married who was around when he was ready and not who he loved. But Love won at the end. |
Re: Confessions of a Nigerian Husband by ObaKlaz: 7:27pm On Feb 09, 2016 |
Speechless3:Let's not confuse fiction with reality. And seriously, if I were Obinze, I don't think I'd leave beautiful and dutiful Kosiso for Ifemelu, who had experimented with Curt, Blaine and a one-night-stand with Rob. What if Ifemelu had married Blaine or Curt?! I think love is overrated at times, and we men can be impossible too! This is the real world. Times are different now. The OP should be grateful to have such a woman as his wife in this present world! Just my opinion. |

ObaKlaz:Looool we share the same view. I actually felt sorry for the Obinze character. What kind of man would let go of a complete woman (yes, Kosiso was complete) for a "left over" ? but o'well love cannot be rationalised. Op should be grateful indeed but i wont blame him the world has spoilt us with the "pursue personal happiness at all cost" mantra. |

OP should just state that he's been seeing someone else (cheating!) who's making him delusional! |

You are not alone in this Bro, about 70% of married men have issues with their wives. Women have suddenly become an evil to men so much so that getting the right girl with the right attitude is now an impossibility. Just get a mistress by the corner to catch you emotional fulfillment and stay for the kids until they are grown. Many women have been possessed by the devil and are instruments of destruction to their marriages whether Christian or not. Just get to chat with your confidantes and see what they tell you may be even your dad too. |
