denisfidha: Only US Gov can really force Google to white-out a sat image. (Google's market cap is 475 billion while Kenya's gdp is 55 billion.) Even Putin can't force them to block images. So, most likely the US have planes operating there. 1 Like |

Henry240: Please @Henry240 look at this your photo critically, which country brought their corvette and OPV to this great event? I'm still straining my two eyes to spot any corvette in your photo. This year 2016 nations navies are measured by how many destroyers and frigates they posess, if you like have 100 Corvettes and OPVs nobody will still respect you. Nigeria is a gigantic and powerful country as such she deserve a powerful navy we should not arm our navy like small countries. see even Isreal the masters at unconventional warfare and anti-terror fight still wants to buy destroyers and has 8 submarines. Germany has agreed to sell Israel two destroyers in exchange for one billion euros, AFP reported on Saturday, citing a report in German daily Bild. A senior naval commander, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that simply to patrol the area Israel needed four new ships and that it had already been in touch with eight or nine foreign firms. http://www.jpost.com/Defense/Report-Germany-to-sell-Israel-2-battleships-for-1-billion-euros-334259 Recent reports have appeared in both the Israeli and German media that Israel will be buying two destroyers from Germany at a cost of over two billion euros. The destroyers appear to be a part of a general plan to upgrade Israeli naval capabilities and increase the Israel Naval Service’s (INS) ability to protect Israel’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ), especially the newly discovered hydrocarbon resources. The purchases represent a major break with INS doctrine and are the wrong purchases for Israel’s purposes. http://www.informationdissemination.net/2013/12/of-destroyers-and-doctrine-evaluation.html while Nigerian Navy keeps fighting pirates up and down with gunboats and our politicians keep massacaring the funds for REAL WARSHIP purchase. Terrorisim will never stop, it has started looking like an excuse govt. officials use to avoid buying REAL WARSHIPS. The amount of Gunboats, OPVs, and Corvettes we have in our arsenal is enough, we have about 300+ or more medium to small-size vessels for anti piracy operations.... is Nigerian Navy now the Gunboat master of the world. We've not even talk about submarines sef when are we going to buy that? the way things are going we may not buy subs till i die and anything short of 3 units is not enough. Please spot the odd one out below

61mech:that improbable, laikipia base is kenyas base HQ for the f-5 squadron, its in the middle of the country geographically, if you have a secrete base you wouldn't want to have it in the middle of the country where you can be seen taking off and landing. , toforce google to block a location, yes, only the US govt can do that since google is based there. Alot of sensitive images from different countries are out there even though these countries wouldint like them to be out their, But in some cases, if google has investments in your country and you ask them nicely (purely out of security reasons) they can agree to completely white-out, blur, keep an out of date picture or replace the satelite image with anotherone from a completely different place... Most of the blocked images on google arein US or have something to do with the US but some countries have conviced google to block some parts of there country, even russia

africaken: Dude, do you seriously want to get into this? T72B3 is about as good as a T90 (any variant) and costs a fraction of the price - evidenced by the fact that the Russians are still churning out about 200 per year while they have ceased major production of the T90. The most recent trials comparing "the best of the east" was the 2011 Thai Tank Trials. T-84 Oplot thrashed the T90, as did the Chinese offering the MBT-3000 a.k.a VT-3. Sadly, the Ukranians could not match their production numbers (they could make only 5 per year) and so the contract stalled. India buys the T90 because of political considerations. VT-4 only recently became operational, and is a massive improvement over the VT-3 and employs many Western concepts, however, it is new hence its lack of sales. According to you the T90 is better than the T-14 because nobody has purchased the T-14. |

|

africaken: The T90 blew up like it does because it keeps ALL of its live ammo in an auto-loader at the base of the crew compartment. |

africaken: Now, I want to tell you that the trials that compared the T-84, T-90 and VT-3 define tank quality. |

patches689: The 2015 International Army Games, organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense and held on 11 different firing ranges throughout Russia, came to a close on August 15 with the Russian team winning the most prestigious competition of the 14-day games — the tank biathlon — RT reports. However, at the end of last year’s competition, Chinese soldiers admitted that theType 96A is underpowered in comparison to its Russian counterparts(See: “Russia to Host World Military Games: China Brought its Own Tank”).http://thediplomat.com/2015/08/russia-beats-china-in-this-years-international-army-games/ 1 Like 1 Share |

africaken: The personel flee because: 1. Their tank is now useless 2. THE TANK IS ON FIRE If the fire was in the crew compartment THEY WOULD BE ON FIRE AS WELL (this is known to kill the tank crew) The fact that they have the ability to flee says allot about the Abrams, and as I said, shows the blow-out panels doing their job. |

africaken: Thats an AR-15 without the rear-sight and a fixed forward sight, the optics are mounted on the hand rail (Which forms the rear sight)... thus they do not ruin your sight picture. Pics I posted were from a SCAR It seems you just want to argue for the sake of it |
