I called WES today over the phone because my document is currently being verified and they mailed me on the 21st of January to tell me my copies of my documents have been sent to my school(I was lucky, they picked). The lady told me the letter sent to my school was just a standard mail and it wasn't a registered mail(A whole world organisation like WES?). I told her I already paid the 85 dollars for courier service and she replied that it's not for verification but for sending the final report to me.

She further mentioned that I have to pay an extra 85 dollars if I want the verification documents sent to my school directly.

I've seen a situation where verification from WES got to school less than 2weeks but when they will send the final report, it took 2months via same standard mail. If you know you will require for the evaluation to de done as quickly as possible, you might want to consider paying that extra money but if you don't need it so quickly, you may choose to wait. However, it's likely its already in your school, just that those in charge may just not bother to know where exactly it went. You can ask someone to check for you in school, they should check Exams and Records or Registry or Transcript Office. It appears school usually abandons it waiting for the concerned person to come pay the money to send the reply to the verification

Thanks bro. I have someone in the school helping me to check and they have even confirmed that all letters go to the registrar office. I suspect the letter is at the post office. I am not yet in a hurry. I just need to to have it handy before taking the IELTS next month. I will give them more time for the school to have it. If its not yet out after the IELTS I will have to pay extra then. thanks for ur advice.

OK. ...so I've been silently reading the controversy raised about the Ontario provincial nominations. Wanted to wait till this time before I made my own contribution. I would advise anyone who wishes to take up the EOI and pay 1500 to please go ahead provided you can provide all documents to defend your application.
Sincerely it took a whole lot of patience from me. Over 6months after submitting my application to Ontario, I got my nomination today.
It was a gamble but it paid off. Considering I might have to keep looking for how to increase my points from 414 which wouldn't have earned me an ITA going with the trend of Draws done. Thanks to Ontario. I can afford to dash out 500 points now .....lol.

....the vision is yet for an appointed time, though it tarries, WAIT FOR IT!!!!

100% true. Very low rejection rate. I had read of instances where applicants were even directed to rephrase their reference letters to match their NOC; I mean, they were that nice.

You gotta be in the pool and have over 400 crs score, they will automatically contact you to apply.

@ Zandora and JesusDway pls eh on the cic-crs website there's a provision for if you "have a master's degree or an entry certificate that allows you practice/entry into a profession like law, chiropractic etc" Now doesnt it mean my lawschool results will count? or hv you had any experience here to the contrary? coz that option gives you 135 marks for education o.

Delete your current profile and create a new one; also ensure you select Ontario as your preferred province in the course of your profile selection.

No, job offers and having relatives are NOT mandatory, but could help prove your tie to the province, as well as fetch you some qualifying points.

Lots of people have been successful without having them (job offers and sponsors).
