twoMcfemad: What is your location please? why don't you want to post some pix, it will help us to take our decision. Hot dip or electro-galvanized & the dimension of the mesh as asked before by abbeyforex |
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by twoMcfemad: 8:54pm On Jan 30, 2016 |
Boskaii:Location is Ofada, Ogun State. I do not have the pictures with me to upload, when I get to the farm on Monday I will take pictures. As we speak, birds are still in the cages to be culled anytime from now. I dont have the dimension off hand except I measure but it takes 4 birds coveniently in a cell and 96 birds in a unit. The cage is electro galvanized and bought from Olamesh in 2013. I asked you to come for inspection to see things as tgey are. The pen is to be converted to Brooding pen and thats why we are selling. Thanks. |

hello Good afternoon, am currently doing a farming business with my friends under the AMO scheme where we buy in bulk (minumum of 2000 DOC) From Amo and selll to AMO after 8 weeks but we are currently using a rented Pen house. so i will like to ask if anyone have an Idea of the size of Pen house that can take 3000 boilers. thanks |
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by laposta: 2:44pm On Feb 12, 2016 |
topeajis: A pen of about 4,500 sq.ft should be able to contain 3,000 broilers to 8 weeks of age. |

Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by yemmit90: 8:55pm On Feb 12, 2016 |
Fumbaby: #380 per kg. Besides, they only want between 1.8kg -2kg birds. You will be penalise if it's higher than 2kg or lower than 1.8kg because it will be consider as overweight or underweight. The minimum investment capital is 1 million and above. |
Thanks for response God bless you, I seems not to understand the minimum investment capital, is the 1 million for the pen and the DOC or what? |
Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by yemmit90: 5:54am On Feb 13, 2016 |

The minimum number of birds you can buy from them is 2000, and for you to raise 2000 birds from DOC to 1.8kg-2kg require nothing less than 1 million naira plus other litle expenses. You may wonder why you have to spent that much; DOC - 300,000 FEED, there is no way you wont spent 700,000 or above. 100,000(excluding workers salary) should be enough for your miscellanous. |

Good day house. My birds are now producing eggs to the glory of God. They started laying at 19weeks and 5days and two weeks later we are doing 20% production daily (equivalent to 18crates considering the numbers I have). At maximum capacity I should collect 80 crates daily. My farm is located in the Abuja/nassarawa axis and I have eggs to sell to interested esteemed house members. Also, if you have clients/customers who wish to buy in my axis, please contact me. I can be reached on 08035993454. Cheers. |
