firsttymum: I used Form A to pay for part of my fees in El Paso. Used Stanbic IBTC. Process was very fast. Deduction from my naira funded account was made the same day I requested. Hospital confirmed payment the next day. Rate used was 199.5. The only caveat at Stanbic is to make the request, fill the form, provide documentation and all before 3pm. Anything after 3pm means the transaction will be delayed till the next day. 6 Likes 1 Share |

emeldamicheals: Yea You can get, you will just have to beg them. It would have been easier if you were in Lag. So you could try the standard chartered someone mentioned. If it doesn't work, pm me. |

So the $100k allocation was not approved by the Gov....sorry to be the bearer of bad news...implication is that the scarcity might be tough next week...till next Friday (except a special intervention is approved b4 then)...however the likes of Stanbic that sells from other sources apart from CBN will still sell so be aware. Sorry Mamas! 2 Likes |

I'm saying it's worth a try. I'm also traveling with my mom nxt week Tuesday and we just submitted her acc opening form today. They said acc number will be out on Monday. @ Firstymum, Your post might have been overtaken by events as there was a post a page or two ago saying that CBN is to ban the use of FormA for medicals and school fees. However, there is no long procedure, you just fill a form and add your supporting documentation e.g invoice showing bank details of the service provider. The bank either bids on your behalf or sell from internal funds and wire to the beneficiary. You typically need to be an account holder to do Form A transactions. 1 Like |

Hi, any advice where to give birth in philadelphia area with affordable price? Tried to read from part 1 but it's way too much. Already tried to contact penn hospital and given 12.500 $ approximate cost to be paid in advance. Birth center for 6000. Looking for hospital option in case of emergency. Thank you in advance. |

Don't think it's a serious issue, we didn't go with our GTbank receipt when we got the visa 2 years ago and we didnt have issues. We just explained to the lady at the window that we left it in the car. Anyways, he can still try and search for it. I shouldn't give you false hope because it could have just been favour. bigfido: |

missexiest:I'm not sure he can make it past the embassy gates without the visa payment receipt. I think he should go back to the GT bank where he made the payment and ask for another reciept. They'll likely issue him another if he can remember the date of payment. |

Ribkahh:Check Delaware county memorial hospital DCMH Philadelphia Dr fee $1,500 Hospital $6,000 ( VD 2 days or CS 3days for both mom and baby) Anesthesia $1000 And pls don't go the birth center route o! Cos in case of emergency you'll be transferred to a hospital and end up paying both the hospital and birth center. |
