Ego and owo are not Edo terms for money. The one, only and correct way of saying MONEY in Edo is IGHO. IWINOSA= GOD'S HANDIWORK IRENE= I HAVE COME OSAIVBIE= GOD DOES NOT SLEEP TWINS = IVINEVA GRANDMOTHER = IYENOKHUA FAMILY = EGBE ( USUALLY ), OGBE MOTHER OF TWINS = IYE-IVINEVA HOUSE = OWA |

odepacy: Uhm.... I know small about the matter you speak of, but to be clear: that was not my response you replied this rant to. My own was a simple question for translation, which @bokohalal helped with...and for which I said thanks I'm Dutch and I wanted a translation from independent source But on the other hand, if someone has an interest in the language and ask a normal question, why react in this way? Nobody spoke of the Edo/Yoruba matter, is you that is dragging in to this... which is fine, but some respect for others might go a long way. |
