There is no timeline. What this means is that the OP may have to wait till eternity to recover his funds. The accused has been trying to track the original owner of the car for the past eight months and I don't understand why he's still pleading for more time.
An ultimatum should be set and if the accused isn't able to meet it,his ID should be banned. That's the best the forum can do while the OP proceeds to recover his funds however he deems fit.

I told Nextrend that we are working on getting the owner of the vehicle so he can refund the money paid him for the car, in the event that we fail to get him I'll fix the car then sell it off to refund his money.

I'm not the owner of the car, the owner was the one paid for the purchase.
