I am an ibibio currently residing in umuahia the Abia state capital, i didn't kwn that igbos hates us (cross riverine/ ibomite ) that much. Calling us various names , alleging that we didn't support them during the civil WAR rather we were killing them, there hold us in mind to the point that is even hard to associate freely with them, their girls are very tribalistic loving only their ibo guys seeing boys of other regions as slowpokes becos there are faithful and secere . There (igbos) are not secere people always trying to dupe at anytime. I wonder the tribe igbo will allied with if there can't allied with us their neighbour. North no like dem yoruba the same thing. To the best of my knowledge as a calabar guy wer i be my forefathers many of them where brafrans soldier but now there are trying to rewrite history inorder to develop hatred.

If you are hated by any Igbo person, it could point centrally to your mischievous character which is plentiful in the above post. I cannot speak for Efik people but certainly can say that Ibibio and Annang fought for Biafra as hard if not harder for Biafra than certain Igbo people during the Nigeria/Biafra civil war.

Why did the Ibos name the second hand clothes they sell Okrika?

Do you mean UmuOkirika/Okirika community in Mbaise, Imo State? I guess buffoonery is inherent in Yari.ba land. It shows in the above post.

I know that a good number of cross river people fought on the Biafra side but the thing is most Igbos have a natural disgruntledness inside. They can't seem to overcome it and therefore secret a constant negative energy on those who unfortunately have their attention at the moment.
nigerian re just being mad by their speculation, how do you know we have natural disgruntleness inside of us? Me and my people have move on, we associates with nigerians living in nigerians.
Acting on self defends is not evidence that we re bitter. Do you expects us to fold our hands while they utter their rubbish?
Why do you guys speaks from the anus rather than the brains? We the igbos, we will never keep quiet till you guys keep your dirty mouth shot. Imagine the op opening a thread to tell us nonsense story and you came here to type disgruntleness as if you study psychology in school.

No be only disgruntleness na ikotun egbe.

Ibos are contemptuous of everyone which leads one to suspect deep self loathing. They call Efik/Ibibios Mmong, Mmongho and other derogatory terms this is eually true for Ikwerres and many other Eastern minorities. We all know this. An Ibo woman would rather marry Yoruba than marry Mmongo or Ogoni or Ijaw .They only want to marry their oil. The Ibos know this, The Ibibios know this and so on. In the Abia axis there are some Ibos that share kinship with their Ibo neighbours and perhaps the story is slightly different but again What do the mainstream Ibos think of such Ibos as the Abiribas and Ohafias? We know.....

We call them mmono and it isn't derogatory. Every people have a peculiar name they call people from other tribe. We call the riverine people the mbamiris and mbamiri means country/nation by the water or close to the water. If you don't know the meaning of anything you ask questions. Nobody calls or refers to any other person/tribe with derogatory terms/names.

The yorubas refer to an Igbo person as omo nna, that is how it suit them to call us. The northerner call us nyamiri, that's how it suit them. Should we also take it as derogatory terms? Should we?

Mr, even if he gave his own experience doesn't mean it's all true. Humans are unique, we have different thought, ideas and prespective. Majority of igbos do not see us as enemies had it been another person was there the guy calling ibibios foes would have been given a knock, slap or a shut up statement. Had the ibibios been treacheous the igbos would not have ika L.G as an indigenous tribe in akwa ibom and if you doubt me go to aba and see how we co-exist ourselves. So the op's point of view is baseless and pointless

Love knws no tribe and wealth so again i will say the igbos has not offended us not once and i hope not ever! If you don't like our relationship you can ask your oba to show you the way to the lagoon.

He mad cause you didn't join him in his Igbo bashing. Weren't you on NL when the yoloba fools were telling us the Ibibio kept informing them how much they hate Igbo and love yoloba. That's seriously how deluded those noggas are. Obviously in his deluded head, he thinks Igbo likes yoloba more than ibibio. If they deluded in the first, that's no doubt they deluded in the second. Who in their right mind would think there are more igbo/yoruba marriage than Igbo/Ibibio marriage.
My @ss do not even like Nigerian women excluding Igbo women but one group I have no problem dating beside Igbo is def Akwa-ibom. Likewise, the same for most Igbo men that's against intertribal relationship. Sheeet. Even Onitsha peep that are ethnocentric as f2k (no offense to am on NL), I've met too many Onitsha and Akwa ibom marriages when I used yo live there and mind you, Onitsha peeps are extremely against marriage outside of Igbo groups.

you can support whoever you wish to support but stop distorting the truth. .during the national conference organised by Obasanjo regime,Igbos were at the forefront on the issue of resource control and again when Jonathan's regime organised its own conference Igbos again supported the call for true federalism, the records are there for u to check. I don't really care whether anybody likes Igbos or not it's not my business who you decide to support but try to speak with facts. We are Igbos the hatred by the Nigerians is what drives us to attain more enviable heights.
