The op did say she has a job in Lagos. The uncertainty in Mowe in this present economic climate is what made her rethink the move.
So why is she pained?? Everybody is settled....she had her job, the guy has a wife who was willing to move to mowe.

The excuse the guy gave the lady was very flimsy, the guy was already through with the lady. The analogy is like that of a man who wanted to take a second wife. When asked for his reason , he said my wife snores too loud and these are couples who had been married for eight years.
Ladies blame not guys, blame yourself when you flout rules of relationship. Never cohabit with a boyfriend. Men have nothing to loose.

You're right, but I maintain, anybody that goes to such great lengths to prove she's over somebody that jilted her, is obviously in denial. Whatever her reason for going to that party, to show the guy what he's missing or to rattle him, she's clearly bitter that he left her.
I understand the fact that moving may have been detrimental to her business, but calling his bluff to go and meet another lady, just because he hurt her ego by insinuating he could get someone else was reckless. She has no idea what made him so adamant. Maybe his parents/family members/peers were unaware of the consequences of her moving and were mocking his manhood for his inability to 'be a man.' Bet that possibility wasn't taken into consideration. You know as Africans, our parents have great influence over our actions (whether we like it or not) she says they could afford a house in Lagos, but what if the guy doubted his ability to keep up with subsequent rents and didn't want to risk having to depend on her to put a roof over his head? She sounds like the type that would still turn around to open a thread about how her useless boyfriend was depending on her for rent. The dude had a free house to stay in and he saw no sense in passing up the opportunity. It was left for her to calm him down and make him see things her way in a mature manner, instead of lashing back at him for bruising her pride cool
daddy,I concur with what she did and obviously nigga will regret his actions....

who leaves a four years relationship and jumps to get married almost immediately to another person,he did it to taunt her and bet me he is gonna regret it,because obviously his village wife will be all yes sir to him but she has nothing to contribute to him financially, and by the time the financial burdens starts rolling in,he might even cheat on the village wife with his ex..or worst still some other women.

What and how exactly do girlfriends or fiances groom a man from "nothing" to something?
Hw had no cert, couldn't speak fluently, was dumb, doesn't know the alphabets? Or
is it the i've been his gf, fking with him, spending some cash on him, loving him and hoping he compensates me somehow hopefully with marriage(conditional love) or what? Please miss can you explain it for me bc i've heard girls say that few times.

Biko if he did what he did because of his family, I can only say kudos to the woman. God forbid I end up with a man that does things because of his family.

So it wasn't the man's job to state his reasons clearly and reasonablyundecided
Madam I know we're all striving to live like oyinbo people, but the truth is that as long as we're in Africa, we're gonna live like Africans. I see nothing wrong in a man heeding to the advice of his father, it doesn't make him weak. If his father was trying to make him do something bad, that'll be different.
There's no doubt the guy was immature, but are you suggesting that justifies the lady's immaturity? There must be at least one adult in a relationship. When ones partner beats them to the punch by being childish, one is left with no choice than to be the voice of reason. If not most marriages would comprise of two people who go about sticking their tongues out at each other and holding hissing matches.

This Is How I Broke Him Down After He Broke My Heart

I met this young man when i was 21 and he was 24 we dated 4 years, we were both struggling, we stayed with each other and help each other to grow.

We grow to become successful and i became very influential in my field and he was so proud of that.

Last october we agreed to walk down the isle, we were planning where we are going to stay after the wedding, he stays somewhere in Lagos mainland while i stay in the island. He told me that he will be moving somewhere in Mowe in Ogun State where his father built a house about 2 years ago.

I told him that will not be a good idea, going from Mowe to Victoria Island everyday will be terrible for me since we can afford a house in Lagos at least for now or we stay where he is staying currently, he maintained he cant change, we could not reach an agreement on that, the next thing i got a shocker, he traveled for event outside Lagos to the east, where he comes from, only to get attracted to a girl he met there and came boldly to tell me, if i cannot marry him and stay at mowe, there are so many good girls who will rush the offer and in annoyance i told him, have you found one please marry her.

To my surprise few days after i saw a photo of him and that girl he just met, less than two months all over social media, he has engaged her.

Initially i was pained, but let's face it he doesn't deserve my tears, his groups of friends started calling my line to ask when we stopped dating since we still stepped out recently to his friend birthday.

I didnt know what to say i asked them to ask him, things went that way and i started hurting, after he did official intro to the girl i knew it was over, i called him and told him i wish him happiness and best of luck with his wife to be.

He felt bad but said he knew i was a good person that he is not shocked i called, i ask him to keep me updated on wedding plans and he did and i told him i will attend he said he will be grateful.

On the wedding day, during the reception i showed up, i had gone to get a very flattering dress, i even paid for make up, i looked so beautiful i couldn't believe myself too smiley grin grin

When i entered the room everybody went crazy, all his friends and associate knew me, some are even pained at what he did to me, i showed up all his friends rushed to greet me, it took over 30 minutes to cheek kiss all of them and hug a few, the few people who didn't know me was wondering who i was and why i am so beautiful grin grin grin

I went up to greet him, he almost fell down from where he was standing, i greeted his wife ( a village girl from akwa ibom lol - the way she pronounce the thanks for coming though smiley )

I started catching fun and dancing crazy, my ex couldn't stand it anymore, he ask his wife to go inside the car only him came to greet his guys where i was seated, THEN BROKE DOWN IN TEARS

HE CRIED SO LOUD LIKE PEOPLE WERE SCARED, People will think that i will disappear from there scene since he was crying, i was still seated shaking body to the tune of music, he then told one of his friend, i don't know but i think i messed up - the guy was like you messed up big time, are you just realizing, then live with it the rest of your life, his wife rushed out of the car i guess he heard his prince charming was crying, he came and the moment she opened her mouth to ask daring wot isssit, guys had funny faces about to explode. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

At that point he left and i continue hanging out with his friends before oping into my car to go home. He sent a touching sms yesterday.

I am both proud and also disappointed in you,

Please let him be, don't crash his marriage. Whether the girl is a village girl from Akwa Ibom or not, the truth is that she had something you didn't have (its not your fault). The lady is ready to move to Mowe, while you're not ready for such.

Only a lady who has seen another man ALREADY will do all you did. Mind you, he has been dating that lady for years. No man, I repeat no man will meet a new girl and get married to her within a space of 2 months. It will never happen in Nigeria.

Your storyline is sweet, but it takes a culpable, fickle, gullible and predisposed mind to believe your story hook line and sinker. Something is missing in your post and I know it.

Re: I Stormed His Wedding & Made Him Cry After He Broke My Heart by Nobody: 6:33pm On Feb 15, 2016
Perhaps there was NOTHING he was looking FORWARD to in you if he should marry you. Perhaps he has seen it all. The 'GIFT UNWRAPPED , EATEN AND SWALLOWED' many times...............NO ANTICIPATION NO EXCITEMENT.

Marriage is not all about SEX.......but SEX is not a big deal in Marriage but a HUGE DEAL..............if you disagree.........then you shouldnt get mad if your SPOUSE is having SEX outside FIDELITY.

You never said you FORNICATED.........yes sex b4 marrriage is fornication. And God is not a F-O-O-L...........and to Him belongs the end of all affairs to make DECISION.

If you did commit such..........then seek forgiveness now.

And have faith in God, learn from what has happened, pray and move on with your life. By God's special Grace if you seek towards PURIFYING your soul............HE, GOD WONT DENY YOU SOMEONE THAT WILL LOVE YOU BLOOD, BONE, BODY AND SOUL WHOM YOU WILL SO MUCH LOVE TOO.

Have hope!

I PRAY FOR THE BEST FOR YOU AND I PRAY FOR THE BEST FOR YOUR EX TOO. THE HUMAN SOCIETY SHOULD BE TIRED OF DIVORCES AND BECOME REALLY RESPONSIBLE. A REASON WHY THE UGLY HEAD 'HOMOSEXUAL MARRIGES' HAS RAISED ITS HEAD IS MOSTLY BECAUSE HETEROSEXUALS KEEP BEHAVING SO IRRESPONSIBLE IN MATRIMONY.

I DONT SUPPORT THE OUTCOME OF THIS IRRESPONSIPLITY CALLED SAME SEX MARRIAGES. MALE-FEMALE RELATIONSHIP SHOULD BE BUILT ON TRUST AND LOVE FOR GOD. HENCE, GOD IS NEVER GOING TO ALLOW A BREAK UP IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP BUT BLESS IT. ANY OTHER REASONING FOR YOUR BONDING IS SECONDARY AND A FRIGILE FOUNDATION..

That is what has happened in your TRUE life story. IT HAPPENS ALOT.

AND MOST TIMES THE WRITING IN ALWAYS ON THE WALL BUT WE PRETEND NOT TO NOTICE. Too bad for SELF DECEPTION.

WISH YOU THE VERY BEST. BYE!

At the end of the day, what did the OP achieve? I do not support attending the wedding of an Ex. More so, that of an Ex you broke up with bitterly. After all your drama at the wedding, he still went home with his wife. Girl, move on. You would hv looked for a way to reconcile the two of you after you dared him to go and marry someone else, if you were still interested. Now any move or drama you act will be interpreted as coming from a pained, broken and desperate heart. pls hands off and let go. But learn that you try not to dare a man. Some do not take it lightly. Always try to reason well before you talk or act in your future relationships and be fast to make amends. This goes for both genders

Lol. I think you're assuming a lot. The fact that she called the bride a village girl in annoyance doesn't mean she really is one, and even if she is, how d'you know her father isn't a king or something? Trust me, inability to speak fluent English is not synonymous with poverty. That girl may be more educated than the OP for all we know.
'Grooming a guy from nothing' huh. If I remember correctly, OP said she herself wasn't exactly the richest woman in Africa at the time. Its not like she sponsored his education or anything. They stuck with each other when things were rough, and they had a disagreement and split. I could as well ask you if you know how difficult it is to groom a woman from nothing to something. And to be frank, when a girl dates a broke guy, more often than not, the worst they 'suffer' is not going on shopping sprees and going out on dates to fancy places, riding their guy's car etc. The percentage of girls that actually spend money on broke guys is like 00000.2% cool

He sent a touching sms yesterday.

are you a teenager? Don't just read the typed words, analyse the true state and mindset of the individual that is typed the story, why would they type such stuff and their selection of words in describing the characters in their story and how they were related to each character only then you can .......

If she had stayed at home people would have said she is pained and jealous. If she had come for the wedding and sat somewhere quietly people would have still said she was pained and jealous. Don't you see no matter what she does they would still read negative meaning into it because they can't believe she is anything but sad, and pained. She might as well do what she wants. Ka ji kwo
