Now to the part of casting out a demon in the name of a man of God that I can't say.. But praying in the name of a man of God can be gotten from the Bible. If you read the book of Genesis up to exodus ypu would see whre God himself appeared to Moses and told him I am the the God of your father Abraham, God of Jacob and the likes in Exodus 3 and so many other passages like that even in the new testament.. That been said..

When you look at first kings when Elisha got the mantle from Elijah and he wanted to path the waters he said "Where is the Lord God Of Elijah and he smote the waters and the Bible says the water parted". So which means the there is a God of Elijah.

So if some one prays in the name of a verified and acknowledged man of God I don't believe they aphave committed any wrong..

With my little understanding, Jesus made it clear that only HIS name is SUFFICIENT to cast out demons. Mark 16: 17-18. Ur refs are mainly in the old testament. (am not against the old testament) I have never read it where Paul cast out demon in the name of the God of Peter or John (because they were closer to Jesus than himwhen Jesus was on earth) or even John the baptist.

Today is my birthday.

I may not have archived what I should materially, (from man's perspective of course), But I have life. And my life is much more valuable to me than any material thing on earth.
For me to acquire anything in this world, I will need to be alive first. And that, God has blessed me with and for this I THANK HIM.
The gift of my life is precious.
The two very dear friends who ran to my hospital bed immidiately they heard about my accident, are both dead today. Everyday, I wish Patrick could take my place and live instead. A great person such as him, shouldn't just die as he did.
And what about MaryJoe? O my God. While I was down, on a Christmas day, she sent food across two states to get to where I was, not as though I didn't have what to eat, but to show how much she cared. If she were alive today, she wld do everything to celebrate this day. But God allowed such a good person to pass. What can I say Lord? Thank You.

Whatever it is, let your Will concerning my life be fulfilled Lord.

To me, the reason Jesus consented to the pleading of the demons is this. The demons haven been in heaven before knew how authority worked. They knew that, God had prepared hellfire for them, and a time frame was also fixed as to when that will be effective. They know that while hover host they were I habiting was temporal, they know their destination and how horrible it is down there. They also know that the Name of God is the final authority. So the demon who spoke up quickly ran to that defends knowing Christ will obey the injunction put by God.
It wasn't indeed time for the demons to go to Hades, but Jesus old have sent them there all the same, but to avoid going, he took that position.
It's like using God's law against God. Satan is crafty. When I see or hear this ignorant people who call themselves pastors or prophets and how they carry on about Satan, I just feel sorry for them. Most of them don't have a clue.
Satan has been around, aside from his own wisdom and intelligence which God gave to him, he has been around as long as the earth has endured. What trick does he not Know? What information about humanity is a secret to Satan?
Just see how he quickly he played a very fast one on Jesus. Putting Christ in one corner and kept Jesus from sending him to Hades.

Well put sister analice107, devil and his entourage are smart, cunning and deceitful. Imagine demon de beg not to go hell. Hmmm. What awaits those who refuse God's Word and salvation is unimaginable.

They are two different things and they have been sorted out.

You hear things like "shout d name of Jesus three times, Holy Ghost fire three time, the blood of Jesus Three times, some other things several times" all in d name of warfare prayer. You av all you need in Jesus a mention of His name. His name is not an incantation dat you recite. Do a Bible study on Just the name of Jesus and wen next u mention dat name, you will immediately feel His presence.

when u pin them down with a quranic verse, they rush to the hadiths, when u give them upper cut there they tell u is not authentic.... Or u are not a Muslim, when u tell them u are a Muslim/ ex Muslim / well versed in quran... They result to insult, threaten, lies...
