Senator Bruce needs to do more like sponsor legislation and not just campaign on Twitter and buy from Innoson. Details: http://www.naijiant.com/articles/buying-made-in-nigeria-is-not-enough/ 2 Likes |

Nwanne Naijiant, aka cic old boy. Why don't you post the entire article on this thread so that it can hit frontpage? You write very insightful stuff that are definitely frontpage material. Try and put them up here to get more mileage and exposure for your blog, especially when it hits frontpage. |

How do you know he isn't pushing for legislation? Can you prove that a man can't support something in the senate and on twitter at the same time? Yoruba are dying while Igbos are shining. A bo Ki are still spreading polio 5 Likes 1 Share |

What Ben Bruce is doing is our only possible redemption. If you and I and all our famies patronise only Nigerian made products, our economic emancipation will come sooner than later. It is time for all the celebrities and household names in Nigeria to start flaunting Nigerian made products to encourage their teeming fans go Naija made way. Ben Bruce has set a good example. 8 Likes 1 Share |

AshiwajuFoward: Haba! Why are you spoiling their fun? If they have not taken potshots at the Yoruba in one day, their brains would not function properly and their happiness cannot be complete. But wait o, I must commend you Yoruba chaps, sha. These people are so attracted to you guys, that they are unable to do anything without mentioning your tribe. Can you share the secret of your charismatic attraction, with those of us who come from the minority ethnic groups, so we can advise our people on how to grab the attention of other tribes like you guys do?? 4 Likes |

Though i didnt read the entire article since its not posted here but i think what you are talking about mainly is that govt should legislate to protect local industries against cheap imports. Either you are criticizing for the sake of it or you dont know anything about nigeria. First, it was govt policy to protect local industry that started the pressure on naira. Govt banned some products importers from accessing dollars at the normal official rate thereby making importing such products more expensive to encourage local production. Thats a good start so we dont need any further legislation at least for now that will further cripple the naira in the interim. More so, the dollar is so so expensive now and may eventually hit 1000naira per dollar. what other incentive do local manufacturers need? the economy is already encouraging local manufacturers so what we need to do is to just follow the trend. imagine if dollar hit a thousand naira....you will need up to 10million to buy an average tokunbo vehicle and if we buy from innoson, even brand new jeep may not cost up to that so the economy is naturally favouring local manufacturing. we dont need to wait till its too late before we start. Give it to these guys....they are the only reasonable people giving us the best option to sustain this country now not your yeye legislation that may not be implemented once there is no will. #savethenairabuynaijamade and stop your useless criticism of an obvious ingenious solution to our immediate problem. |

jamace: The revolution you didn't join while you were in power you now want to join because you are now opposition and trying all your best to redeem your battered image. Let me ask you this, was it not when Pdp was in power that all this grandstanding of Twitter senator would have made sense than now that the ruling has promised all these changes . You can't hijack the change of APC cos you had your chance and misused it |
