Competent & Courageous Minister Has This to
Say:

Dayo Orolu WROTE:
I was at a CFO Forum earlier today where the
Minsiter of Finance, Ms Kemi Adeosun made a
presentation.
My key take-away:

1. The FG payroll bill in January 2016 was
5billion naira less than that of December 2015.
Reason: many fraudulent ghost accounts had
been delisted. Plan is to achieve 10bilion
monthly savings.

2. 400 accounts opened in a Bank sameday and
put on the payroll are now inactive due to BVN.
(Some Bank Managers will be transfered to
Kuje in no time).

3. Govt plans to reduce domestic borrowing to
fund budget deficit as to 'force' banks to lend to
the productive sector. 50% of 2016 budget
borrowing will be from external sources.

4. Govt spending on Stationery and office
consumables in 2015 was 18.5billion while total
spend on capital expenditure was
18.9billion. (See why we keep getting poorer).
Govt is re-negotiating all contracts of supply for
more efficie

5. 30% Capex budget in 2016 is to stimulate
the economy.

6. The Minister said her outfit to the forum
cost her just two thousand naira. (Message:
Ladies, please drop Gucci suits for local
materials). She also queried why schol pupils
are forced to wear socks daily which we don't
produce locally.

7. On looted funds, one (just one!!!) former
public official is negotiating with FG to return
$1billion (equivalent of 199billion naira at CBN
rate) of stolen fund. This is just one of many.

8. She wants to be the first Finance Minister
that wouldn't want to know or care to know the
price of crude oil. Implying - they plan to build
a self-sustaining economy.

Of all he typed up there, tell me one that is madam minister's own initiative? NONE, the only one, which is budget that would have been is ridden with irregularities and to thing that some APC zombies praised it makes it even irritating.

Which pedigree? The propaganda built one?

The former minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala couldn't express numbers and figures very well like Kemi Adeosun. I watched Kemi mentioned trillions to kobo like honey was dropping from her voice.

Has anyone one ever heard any numerical expression from Ngozi Iweala?

The beauty of the budget fraud is that budget ,a budget that was looked into at an FEC meeting of which she attended and agreed by members of the FEC is now saying it was the wailers on naira land that sabotaged their own ApC administration budget!
Very funny o!

And you think she or any of the mnisters had any input in the design of that budget?

About time nigerans understood that the budget was prepared by PMB's chosen allies and foisted on the ministers and ministries.

Where is she supposed to get foriegn exchange? Imagine her alleged savings during an oil boom like was available in d past.

D present downturn is due to d scarcity of foreign exchange. She can only try to close leaks, implement efficiency, recover stolen loots n pray oil prices rise again or d change agenda actually works! Fiscal responsibility!

Except that she is not in charge of budget formulation

Have you considered that at all?

Her job is to manage public finances based on the budget

Go and research the name of the man in charge of the budget formulation

Do we have a finance minister? What's her name? Haven't heard of her before now. Overwhelmed is putting it mildly. She doesn't know what to do. The complexity of Nigerian economy is just beyond her. NOI bestrode it like a collosus and tried to tame it and she succeded but all hell was let loose the moment she left. Dollar is racing to N400. Can't we call her back? Just my 2 cents.

If rumours are to be believed, she was never ment to hold dat post. But, d supposed heir apparent was celebrating b4 induction.
