Phemorinho:it wouldnt affect u, but its advisable u write it.. u can get admission without english proficiency and u can also apply for visa without it...standardized test proofs some level of seriousness to ur C.O as a student. and u would def need it for extension visa application after MSc.. what is worth doing is worth doing now.. P.S would advise u take PTE instead of IELTS or TOEFL. |

Pls house I'm new here, just got offer from griffith and instead of 80crdt point I was awarded 40crdt point bcoz of my experience and bsc degree and my program was reduced to 1year. My question is hope my tuition fees would be based on the 40crdt left in my course as the course is an 80crdt course? |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by johnHadey: 2:47pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
Harrypreye: ur tuition fee is strictly based on ur credit points... but if u aim at P.R or further stay after studies, u need to undergo a course of at least 1.5years. if u embark on ur 1year course, u will av to enroll in another program to continue ur stay or leave aussie after ur program.. the ball is in ur court.. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by johnHadey: 3:10pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
miliki777: any type of visa has a subclass.. state ur subclass pls... australia is the least country u would wanna go to tru backdoor.. there are many job opportunities in aussie, with a P.R or strong connect, u can get formal jobs that pays $30k and above per annum with just ur naija Bsc or any Bsc, additional qualification will giv u an edge.. there are also casual jobs like age care, eatries/store attendants, cleaners, waiters e.t.c that can pay u from $25 to $40 an hour depending on the actual work and location..location means either cities like sydney, melbourne, brisbane etc or local regions.. pls elaborate on ur visa subclass, its better u get ur guidance here or be embarrassed at ur exit/entry point.. 3 Likes |

manucho: It is better to open a domiciliary account with Ecobank and then you can transfer to Australia with Swift transfer. Go to any of their branches for more info. 2 Likes |

cremeuc:Thanks so much.i was trying to get their fees,i couldn't. One agent in Lag said, the IELTS is important to get visa,he said admission can be secured but visa requires IELTS. I'm confused. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Stanleych007: 5:55pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
Phemorinho:To be honest I was as confused and worried as u, but I braced up and registered for the exam, jst register and prepare for it, the exam will make u sit up for the whole task of goin to Australia, I will advice u write PTE, its easier and flexible to register and get ur results. #bless |

johnHadey: Errrm, pls chill! According to my research, the length of your study doesn't directly affect your job opportunity or P.R. However studying a course of about 2 years only adds to you points. Every international student after study in Australia is qualified for a post study visa of two years. Msc level = 2 years, Ph.d= 3 yrs 1 Like |

Pls let's try not to provide shoddy information on here pls...so as not to mislead ourselves. If you are not sure of the answer to a question its better to just observe. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by scrollmeout(m): 7:27pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
johnHadey: jorgan:For more clarity, your length of study in Australia has a bearing on your PR application. You are both correct, the 'bolded' just seems a bit contradictory. You may be qualified for graduate visa after study but it's not automatic. In your ponts test, you get additional 5 points for Australian study and an additional 5 points in a regional area/low population grow the area. The caveat however, is that the period of study must be at least two academic years or 16 calendar months |
