This minimum 2 years thing is disturbing o, mayb I should just jejely stay in naija and continue my life because my course is for a year, no need to waste 4 million plus. I saw somewhere dat it's minimum of 6 months. Mehn I m gutted right now
The decision is yours, examine your case critically whether you'll need the additional points or not if you have PR in view after studies. The two year study only makes you eligible for the additional points

I actually did all of that. what I wanna knw is the kin da job to expect when I get there. are there available jobs even if its menial jobs. thanks.

GoodNews and congratulations bro.
Impossible is nothing. We're stuck In education path here, but I know that there might be other ways of which their immigration Facebook site normally catch some people that offers work visa with payment/bribe.
But all I know is that it's possible.

And for people that wants to pay their School Fees , they should go to their banks to verify if it's still going through.
I told y'all that THEY DIDN'T COME TO CONCLUSION THAT DAY.

any type of visa has a subclass..
state ur subclass pls...
australia is the least country u would wanna go to tru backdoor..

there are many job opportunities in aussie, with a P.R or strong connect, u can get formal jobs that pays $30k and above per annum with just ur naija Bsc or any Bsc, additional qualification will giv u an edge..
there are also casual jobs like age care, eatries/store attendants, cleaners, waiters e.t.c that can pay u from $25 to $40 an hour depending on the actual work and location..location means either cities like sydney, melbourne, brisbane etc or local regions..

pls elaborate on ur visa subclass, its better u get ur guidance here or be embarrassed at ur exit/entry point..

Bro you nail am make him dey go....where u do your medicals? UCH abi? All these fake agents out there...you better come out openly now before u waka make u no enter one chance patapata. Your own visa no get subclass abi? All na work visa....smh

Edakun pls come closer becos haff loss! grin

This thing is confusing me, I need your help with clarity.

Okay now, when I complete my one year program in au, regardless of the program length, am I qualified at all to apply for P.R, therefore gathering points from other possible eligible areas arriving at 60points, discarding whatever points 2 years study length can get me?!

Is the 2 year study thing a must before I can apply for P.R or just an added advantage in terms of gathering points? Pls I need your response edakun

Errrm, pls chill! According to my research, the length of your study doesn't directly affect your job opportunity or P.R. However studying a course of about 2 years only adds to you points.

Every international student after study in Australia is qualified for a post study visa of two years. Msc level = 2 years, Ph.d= 3 yrs
not every, dont mix it up..Applying for a temporary graduate visa

Graduates must meet the Australian study requirement. The Australian study requirement is defined as study in Australia in a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) for a period of at least two academic years (92 weeks). The course itself must be conducted in English and must be completed in no less than 16 calendar months.
For msc course completed in 16 months u get 1.5years post study visa.
msc completed 20months above gets 2yrs post study Visa.
And PHD gets 3yrs visa.
the general subclass is 485, and other things stilll apply, like the course completed or the qualification u av must be nominated on sol or csol...
use ds link for further guidance.

The 16months minumum is key to getting ur subclass 485 which would later aid ur PR..I know people that av jumped 485 by getting a bridging visa(A or B) to extend their stay conditionally for as long as conclusions on their application would be made..and they eventually got PR..tthat link is strictly who u know and how much u av..
Its certain u need use at least 92weeks in study for considered further stay through the student route..

omo do ur research well, u cant bank, u cant use cards, u cant register anything formally as u are actually someone else and prints never match, u might be busted anytime and the highest u can stay there is just that 2yrs with dirty odd jobs and secluded lifestyle after which u will just av to leave...
am just about going to oz, but I know alotta people there including illegals, its a nightmere being in oz illegally, imagine the consequences if u scale tru being an illegal for 2yrs and then an illegal with illegal documents..

It is important for you to understand what you want to do before you take steps with respect to your study.
Studying in Australia does not automatically lead to PR, you just need to earn the points although it may contribute to points provided that you meet Australian study requirement. If you study a course that is not on the skills occupation list, it won't lead to PR if at all you spend years doing that.

There are two streams of Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485): Graduate-work stream (18months) and Post-study work stream ( 2yrs-4yrs) depending on your degree.
To be eligible for graduate-work stream, you need to meet Australian study requirements which minimum of 2 academic years or 16months of study or 92 weeks of study. And also the course has to be recognised and you need to obtain positive assessment from the respective assessing body. To gain positive assessment alone, most assessing bodies require minimum of 1 yr experience. Meanwhile, you will earn extra 5 points for studying in Australia and points for studying in regional area which is a plus for you.

Likewise, to be eligible for post-study work stream, you need to meet Australian study requirements which minimum of 2 academic years or 16months of study or 92 weeks of study at minimum BSc level. However, this one does not require an assessment. You will get the following years: BSc/MSc/MSc ext-2yrs,MSc by research-3yrs and PhD-4yrs.

So, think very well before you choose a particular course. Do a course that will ultimately lead to jobs after and that helps you get your PR.

@jorgan, need I say more? You have been enlightened by the boss himself.
I'd just like to add that there are at least 3 different subclasses for general skilled migration 189, 190 and 489. To qualify you need at least 60points (189) or 55 points for 190 and 50 points for 489.
Your occupation and/or education must be listed in SOL for 189 and CSOL for 190/489
Try your best to have the end in view --what you want to study- for how long-what opportunities does it provide after study- In all, do you research and pray about it. All the best! wink

Good morning house how can I send money from Nigeria here to Australia cause I've been to all the banks its either we don't do western union or moneygram or limit exceeded till may/June. Help a brother out its urgent. Thanks y'all

Union Bank still does Moneygram "Outbound" subject to a daily limit of N190,000. If you have a naira account there, you don't need to open a domiciliary account.

An alternative is if you have a close friend or relative who has an account there. The account holder would be required to fill a form and submit a copy of his valid ID.

Due to the high demand, you may have to submit early because requests are being treated on a"first come, first serve" basis and there are backlogs at any given time. The upside to this is the rate which is very reasonable.

Welcome. Note that not all branches are enabled for this; there are designated branches for Moneygram outbound. So, your contact should enquire which branch does this in your locality.

Let me make this clear to this Gee.
Someone might be in Aussie & maybe them Agents applied for a Dependent visa.
If the real owner is renewing his & you knows the person.
You might also be renewing yours.
Just my take, it might be wrong.

But for me, I don't buy that Bullshit.
IF....your visa didn't sight Preto & your medicals wasn't done in Zankli & Lasgidi 2 branches.
So....when I'm ready to come to Aussie, I might bring kpof-kpof for you in that their Immigration Prison.
I've forgotten the name though, but you will be mingling with Arabs.
Thanks & please mention. wink
