Justwise I cannot indirectly advertise for the Hospital. The hospital is a teaching hospital, there is nothing like referrals or advertisement, moreover the hospital don't give correspondence both email or phone..... I respect your rules and cannot go against it, just want to help those mamas on low budget as we are porting to US to achieve one goal. I have tried, tested and have confirmed , so i believe it is good to help someone else but i still respect your rules.

You can try airbnb. You might be lucky to get something affordable and a good 1 bed apartment.

Doctores prato is an agency stuff..so their hospitals and doctors are been paid by them after they've removed their own commission, think that's how it works.

DoctoresParati is a billing and admissions dept for many doctors in El Paso. It is how most doctors work in the US so they can focus on seeing patients and not have to worry about billing and collecting.

Dr La (WHMC) has started accepting wire transfer. WHMC will not though, so you'll only be able to use it for Dr's fees

I'm currently exploring that option myself. Will give you feedback if successful

Hi,
Please I am very interested in your outcome. I am also using Dr La and this will be of great help to me.

Thanks alot!

Hello all,
It's been a while. So in the spirit of giving back like is said on d thread smiley, I had decided I wasn't going to the US anymore to have my baby because of ds dollar palava & then changed my mind again o at less than 1 month to d proposed travel date - that was cutting it too close o. So I did drop box renewal and submitted on Tues 9th Feb. My initial visa which I used 4 childbirth in 2014 was in my maiden name and d visa expired in 2015. So I was sure I was gonna b called 4 interview. I got a call on Fri 12th Feb to come 4 an interview with a lagos landline on any Monday or Wednesday. I was excited cos @ least, I was called within 1 wk of applying. Mayb cos they saw my proposed travel date was close. So I went yest
V.O : good morning
Me : good morning
V:O: can I av ur passports?
Me: hands them over - old in maiden name & new in marital name
V:O: when was the last time u were in US?
Me: May 2014
V:O: and what did u do there
Me: had my baby
V:O: y r u travelling ds time around?
Me: hoping to have my baby there cos I'm currently preg
V.O: when r u due?
Me: told him
V.O: when do u plan on traveling?
Me: told him
V.O: r u using d same doc?
Me: no
V.O: how did u get ur current doc
Me: online
V.O: how did u get d doc u used b4?
Me: online
V:O: what was d cost to u @ d time?
Me: told him and I have my receipts here - he didn't check
V.O: are you going alone
Me: yes I am
V:O: so ur baby isn't going with u
Me: no, staying behind with my mum
V:O: ur visa has been approved. Pick up in 3 days. Make sure u have enof funds and proof and POE.
Me: thank you
Na so I take renew my visa o. D guy didn't check 1 single doc.
The search 4 dollar is real
My ticket has been booked for houston and I'm really hoping I can pay thru formA. If anyone can help with hosp info, pls lemme know beautiful mums and dads.

You did not miss any rule but you missed to read his experience above

I got the experience. I'm just wondering why he doesn't want to post the name of the hospital. People have posted the name of the hospitals and break down in the past no biggie. Just don't understand why he needs approval to do that. Just a few pages back I read someone's experience in Mercy medical NY.
I'm genuinely confused as to why he can't post the Chicago one.

Hi Justwise. I believe allen0000 should be allowed to send required info to us via email. That wouldn't amount to any advertisement on this forum. The essence of it all is for us to be able to help each other. If he has info on how we can get things cheaper, he should be able to share.

Please confirm he can go ahead and share via email. He doesn't seem to want to do this without your consent.

Thanks in advance.

I did same at ACCESS and hubby did it at Unity or fcmb, not quite sure.

If you have banker friends, get them to transfer on your behalf because they are likely to get it done faster.

quote author=mrsbw post=43032201]

what access does is their limit is 198000 per person per quarter, transfer fee of 14,000 and vat of 700. last week, that came to about $960. exchange rate was reviewed over the weekend and this week, it came to $800 per person per quarter. I still did it anyway, cos its much better than current exchange rate of 360 or so; but the senders must have account with them oh. also heard the branch has to have received moneygram inflow for the day before they can do outbound; so you just have to keep checking or drop it with them (if they'll accept).[/quote]

Hello i am new in this forum. Im planning to have baby in US my question is if it is too risky if I travel 35+ weeks pregnant, any experience?? Thank you
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by happytbaby: 7:19pm On Feb 18, 2016
There may be. For hospitals with maternity package, the fine print says the package is for uncomplicated delivery so if you need to stay an extra day or something they charge you.

The good thing is that maternity packages are still better because when they discount, they discount really well.

I will never use an hospital without a package contract. I had a bill of USD 73,000 dollars in my previous missionary journey, if it wasn't properly discounted plus some of the issues were covered under the contract terms, I for still dry pay hospital bill.

@justwise it's strange how people never came back to discuss extra bills paid at Mihs and Elpaso, I guess it may be due to the nasty fights about which one was better ....people are agents and pitching one against the other....etc

I advise the other lady with ticket to Houston to by local flight to El paso, probably rest for one day in Houston before moving to El paso though.

go to StanbicIBTC and seat down there they will sell to you or go to standard chartered to open an account, you have to waka well to get pta you can't just expect it to come easy especially with the situation of dollars at hand

I told you to apply @ stannbic if you did go there with all required document and ensure u are standing. Standing annoys them so u will be asked ur problem. Peace

I have finally read the story about what went on in SugarLand accommodation and my advice to any mother here accepting an offer of accommodation is to be careful and ask questions openly here before taking the offer.

I wouldn't go into details about the sad treatment received by those involved because I have only heard one side of the story.
