While all well meaning Nigerians have been unanimous in agreeing that corruption is a monster that has prevented this nation from achieving anything close to its potential and with the promise of this government to tackle the monster head on, distractors of the government have always found a way to undermine the effort of the government using tactics as start with person A before person B, or why must it be tribe x and not tribe y, or why political party c where political party d has former members of party x.

As if that was not enough, a major supporter of PDP took it 3 steps further in his article "Blunder upon blunder upon blunders" by openly and indirectly assuring his PDP friends that, they is no need to panic, "corruption is hale and hearty".

Even "stealing is not corruption" phrase ranks very low compared with this latest statement. Truly, I don't understand how such an assembly of people who openly support corruption are able to live with their conscience.

We beg you in the name of God, don't rob corruption on our faces, use it in your national secretariat as your slogan and not in our National space, we have a nation to build and no effort will be spared to build it.

Since the inception of the Buhari administration, all we have been hearing is corruption, corruption, corruption. The president insisted he would kill corruption before it killed Nigeria. Therefore, we all expected the government to come up with steps designed to kill corruption; something no nation on earth has ever done before. However, instead of even attempting to kill corruption, the government has merely been determined to kill the PDP.

So what is the state of corruption in Nigeria today? By all account, it is hale and hearty, thank you very much. All that has happened is that the baton of corruption has been passed from the PDP to the APC. - Femi Aribisala .
