The first thing to do is looking for some reference. In this case I worked with already existent characters, and even if you’re trying to make your own version, it’s good to have some image to work some details, that may be important for the character’s characteristics (or features).

I made a quick sketch of what I wanted on
Photoshop. That was not my first draft; I tried a few
times before getting what I wanted. Bear in mind that you will erase some drawings. Do not be afraid
of it, it is part of the process. Try it again, and again, and again, until you say “this is what I want”.

I filled the characters with their colours. I always try
to work from dark to light, and I started up with
colours that are close to the darkest tone.

After much work, here's my finished work.

Cool right? Its easy with the right tools and tutorials.

Read More On How to do This Here.

I'll be happy to see your finished work or problems.

@cyber
There's nothing wrong with putting up a link and directing readers to another artists tutorial, or even lifting extracts from his work AS LONG AS U GIVE HIM CREDIT.
But editing another artists tutorial, lifting his work and passing it off as yours defines the worst scum of the art community.
Unless ur name is Filipe Laurentino and you are from Brazil (in which case I would humbly apologize) I suggest u either pull down this post or give the proper artist his due credit.

PS: how did u even imagine we would believe u did this work considering the monstrosity you posted in your other similar thread above?

he, probably, is one of those who wants exaltation on Nairaland. Plenty of such people are after the LIKES and MENTIONS. Perhaps, he knows not how to give 'credits' but fantasizes the number of 'credits' he gets from a job-not-done. It is, i must say, A CRYING SHAME. We have music pirate, movie pirate, book pirate... Condescendingly, we now have blog piratez. What a contradiction!

Thanks for bringing our attention to this copy and paste post of this so called blogger. Credits must always be given anyhow. How am I to believe anything on his blog was his own content. Frankly disgraceful to the art of blogging.
It is why in this part of the globe, most Nigerian artists can't show their workflow on Youtube or Vimeo due to the fact most posts/uploads of theirs isn't their creation or not willing to share knowledge.
People like him feel they're so #smart that no one will notice*smh*lwkmd*Nice try but his scam didn't work...

Dude,do the right thing, apologise to the art community here on NL,go back to your blog & edit to give credit to the artist you lifted his post. Then modify your post here giving him credit likewise. Remember just because you are using a code name on NL doesn't mean your real identity can't be find out. So your humming doesn't cut it at all.
"A good name is better than #GOLD".

These are blogs of people who write their original content & give credit to whom it's due.
