Stop saying Igbo and start saying SE Igbo. You'll NEVER find an anioma that does stupid shits like this. Even if you do, it's one out of a thousand. I can't say the same for you people. I

Honestly, I don't know what it takes, before you all start seeing that country as a foreign nation that you should NEVER help. Trying to assist a group that f2king hate you. Wtf? Honestly I think something is wrong with SE Igbo

I keep saying it. SE Igbo should start acting like us. Stop helping a group of people that never helped you. I wish, oh how I wish we can cleanse ourselves of all this "one Nigerian" Igbo be it ones in SE and few in anioma and river.

Are you sure it's about SE Igbo only? Tony Elumelu and Jim Ovia have Foundations based in Lagos. You can guess who the major beneficiaries would be.

Neither can you prove definitively that Igbos in SW do benefit from non-Igbo charities in those places.

I know for sure that they do not in the North, as everything go to Muslims
In the West at least half the charities are for Muslims
The other half are for Christian Yorubas. Perhaps a few Igbos would gain from this one, but not before Yorubas have been satisfied. I only wish you can give me one example. Is that too much to ask for grin grin grin grin

You have admitted that Igbos benefit from South West charities. That is alright for me. Lol.

Perhaps means what? It means uncertainty? As against the certainty that Yorubas have benefitted from Igbo-related charities, even where the benefactor has nothing to do with any Yorubaland

Reason why I love nnewi people 90 percentage of investments in nnewi are from the sons and daughters of nnewi. And they hardly invest outside their town let alone outside SE

If you were sure that Igbos have not benefited, you would have categorically stated that.
Tony Elumelu and Jim Ovia are only giving back to their host community(ies.) Remember, other Nigerians do not invest in Igboland as much, if at all.

I see it differently though. I think Igbos have benefited more from the Nigerian Project than any other group.
In most States of Nigeria outside the South East, Igbos make up the largest non indigenous population. Invariably, they end up benefiting more from the charities in their host states than other Nigerians that are sprinkled all over.
A charity does not have to be situated in Igboland to be of benefit to them.

How have the igbos benefitted from Nigeria?

I would like to know.

you are just making unguarded statements. Tell us how the igbos have benefitted from Nigeria?

So for the fact that those igbos do humanitarian works for communities means that they benefitted from the country?

For some strange reasons, privileged Igbos feel very comfortable either directly or indirectly helping other Nigerians to prosper while leaving their own

Emeka Offor is doing the same thing with his SEOF

Okorocha was doing the same with his Rochas Foundation until he became Gov

In contrast, you hardly find Yoruba or Hausa-Fulani either investing in Igboland or extending charity work to Igboland. On the flip side, this shows Igbos are indeed a rare, superior breed.

But how did Igbos get it so wrong/right in Nigeria?

Regardless, God will continue to bless Igbos anywhere they are

Together with partners, I am putting together a few things I will be doing in Nigeria soon, but ALL will be in South-East (70%) and South-South (30%). That is my vow.
The way the languages you mentioned allowed your people to flourish in their place unhindered, I dont think your people have created or given them that enabling environment or hospitality which commensurates what they have towards your people and their businesses. They're only giving or have given to society that made them.

The last line in your post says it all- you are just the perfect example of igbo man(save for rochas and ofor) .

The worst thing is, you people think Jesus is one of you; but you are just too bad as a people and Christians

All these claims and counter claims sef. How on earth does living in Yorubaland make an Igbo man rich? If living in Yorubaland is a ticket to being rich, I wonder why all Yorubas are not rich.

Factors of production. Capital, Land, proximity etc. They all have to be present.

I do not understand these claims. Do Igbos in Yorubaland get free capital from Yorubas to start their business?
Do they get free land to invest on?
Proximity to what? What raw materials are present/proximal in Yorubaland and used by Igbos in their production?

I would like to be enlightened on these. Thanks

Yes , they do. It is repatriated profits from other parts of Nigeria and beyond that is building up Igboland.

70% in SE and 30% in SS, thats pretty much everyting. Nothing for SW

You must follow in the footsteps of Igbos before you and invest everything in SW, otherwise you cannot carry the label "superior"! If that label is important to you and you cherish it, then nothing of.your investment should go.to SE.

Before you make profit, you must have paid taxes, royalties, fees and levies to the authorities. And we know that Lagos State Govt is huge in collecting taxes from businesses located in its domain.

Before you make profit you must have paid your workers. Would it be out of place to say that most workers in Igbo-owned companies in Lagos would be Yorubas?

If an Igbo investor does all of these, what claims do you have the right to make regarding repatriating the left over? Keep in mind that the initial seed money used in investing in the business was not free money from a Yoruba govt. Its either a loan from a Bank with interests, or money from inheritance, etc

Besides, some of the examples that have been given on this thread are Igbos who do not run their businesses in Lagos. I am not sure Emeka Offor or Rochas has any business in Lagos/Ibadan, yet they dole out charities to those places. Do you care to explain these to me? Thanks

For instance, an Igbo man has capital with which to invest. No land or seaport in Igboland to make access to goods easier. A Yoruba might not have capital to begin with .

What do you mean no land to invest in in Igboland? Are you kidding me or you are serious?
Even at that, the land he gets in SW, is it for free?

Does every Igbo business man really, I mean really, need a seaport to sell his goods? Can he not open a depot in Lagos/Ibadan/Kano/Kano while his factory is in Igboland? Is that not what Dangote has done? Is that not what Glo has done (HQ in Lagos and small phone offices in Igboland)?
Re: See What This Igbo-American Top Shot Is Attracting To Nigeria by OPCNAIRALAND: 9:55pm On Feb 19, 2016
There is a magnetism and urban attitude, a flair, a romantic air, a swagger if you will, that is felt and experienced in Yorubaland. The totality of that natural ambience formulates a conducive atmosphere that is benevolent to trade, commerce, security, diplomacy, expansion, growth and scaled opportunities.

A person of no means or background steps into Yorubaland and if they are patient and abiding they soon gain importance, class and plenty means materially and socially.

This ambience, its magnetism and charm cannot be reproduced anywhere else, no matter how hard we try. Therefore there is no need denying it or envying and hating it. Those who refuse to accept their place in it will have to accept a place elsewhere. We stand committed, as owners and indigenes, to make this Yorubaland an abode of security and wealth and happiness for all.

Ibos and Biafrans, take notice and move away from your caustic complaints, sour remarks and mortal hatred for Yorubaland.
