Lawyers in the house, what is the difference between giving money for burial, school fees, wedding, pocket money, dash, naming ceremony, house warming, owambe to someone who is going to preside over your case in court the next day?

Many people don't know that these Sans are crooks. In fact they act as middlemen between corrupt judges and litigants. Rickey Tarfa is even in a class of his own as a dubious San - nemesis is catching up with him now.

All am saying is if the receiver confesses that it's a bribe then it is and if he says it's a donation for support then so be it. Even if a husband kills someone and the wife confesses to it and it's obvous the wife did it according to body language, then thier is nothing the court can do than to take the confession.
Court cases are based on witnesses, confession with evidence.

Any corrupt person must be jailed even my dad on a ground of facts
Sorry I have to prolong this matter.Regardless of what the receiver says it was meant for (because it is not govt fund appropriated with a purpose) as long as it is UNETHICAL even if it was donated to assist the receiver overcome a deadly sickness then it is wrong. The motive is also important in a case and motive can be specific or implied,in this particular case the motive of bribery can be specific or implied as long as funds exchanged hands.

How come you are the chosen one out of all the so called friends of the judge that was ''banking'' the money?

How come that is the only judge you love taking your cases too?

If you did not deny the transfer of the N225k, then the report on the judge saying Thank You My Senior Advocate must be true too.

What you did is called 'inducement'' and you should be de-robed for bring the Law Profession into disrepute and also jailed.

I had a discussion with a prominent Legal practitioner (SAN) yesterday and was told that is a tip of the rot in the Judicial system, the SANs of their status ensure they take cases to certain Judges that they can bribe to get judgement. I was told he has been doing it like many others but his cup is full this time.

He was actually reported to the Efcc by one of the parties to case he is handling and they have massive evidence

You are damn brilliant. This is what a lot of people don't know about the law. I took time out to read a lot of legal fiction growing up and I know that its not what people think but rather what the law says

Evidence found in d course of investigations? And who says d efcc avnt got an affidavit to access d said phone records n bank statements? Do u tink any self respecting telecommunications n banking firm will release such info without legal backing? Patience is a virtue.

[you are not a lawyer and you don't know what procedures and steps in tendering evidence in court, if the evidence is relevant to a case it will be admissible no matter how the evidence is obtained.

Your thought process is flawed; just like you. The amount does not even constitute a bribe based on how corrupt you guys are.

So basically you're saying that the policeman who collects 50 naira from a driver on the road is not taking a bribe because the money is too small right? So from what amount does it begin to constitute a bribe in your opinion?

You mean you don't know that by Nigerian law, EFCC does not need a court order to access your financial transactions? Once the information is disclosed to a second party, your bank, the government has a right to the information

thanks for shedding more light, some confused bigot already trying to garner sympathy for the corrupt SAN using legal technicality.

;EFCC is a very corrupt organization. How can you tender illegally obtained exhibits in a court of law? They are just fooling Nigerians with fake anti corruption charges. Now I am waiting to see how they'll wriggle out of this..... I think someone should sue EFCC for wasting taxpayers money and causing unnecessary and unneeded media distractions.

EFCC doesn't require your consent to get details of your bank transactions from a bank, or your phone transactions from a Telecom operator. Both of these items are actually not your properties but that of the bank or telecom operator.

So once they obtain the requisite orders against the actual owners of the data, you the account holder or phone subscriber are inconsequential.

Sorry to bust your bubble, the phone in your hand is your own, the money in your account is your own.

However all over the world, the transactional details in your account are the property of the bank, which is why you'd have to ask the bank for your statement and they even charge you for it.

The phone in your hand and whatever is on it is your own, however all communications with it through the Telecoms operator is the property of the operator not you. They can cut you off, stop data to you or even deny your access to use their property. You'd be free to use your phone as a camera or radio if you so wish.

If I send 1500 airtime to someone helping my sibling monitor his admission for urgent call back does that implies it's a bribe? Abegi jare.

Bribery has to be defined before it is called one and not by assumption.

Ricky Tarfa only wants to do gra-gra for EFCC. He is corrupt even by his admission that he sent the N225k to the judge. He should tell Nigerians the names of contributors, how much each contributed, by cash or cheque, how he got the recipient judge's bank account number and why transfer rather than sending the money to the beneficiary through one of his Assistants? The N225k 'contribution' is even curious as N250k would have been more ideal. Even if he is discharged by the government court, he is still deemed guilty in the people's court and God's court!! Shame on those 90 SANs that followed him to court in solidarity. They are saboteurs in the temple of justice!!!

Another ineffectual buffoon. Illegally obtained evidence is admissible, liability only attaches to the person that obtains it Illegally through tortious action

Your ilk brought Nigeria this low.I expect you know the communication between Tarfa and Judge Yinusa are expressed in call logs LEGALLY obtained by the EFCC from the database of the Network provider who are duty bound to provide same after the necessary is done by EFCC.

I take it the judge is of the Islamic faith.

If so, I believe the burial is usually done expeditiously (24 -48hrs).

I think someone is being conservative with the truth.

Also, what a terrible person the judge would be not to acknowledge some thanks for the support towards his father's burial.

N2000 can take care of Islamic burial why N225000?

Lastly, what correspondence took place for Tarfa to know the judge's bank details? Abi he don sabi the account tay tay?
