naijaking1: The Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers in Nigeria deprecate anything at all capable of making a judicial officer disinclined to doing justice between all manner of men without ill-will or affection. That job is a calling, a lifestyle! It has zero level tolerance for indiscretion. 1 Like |

rusher14: thank you.odubela is an ijebu man from ikenne remo so he doesnt know the muslims northerners that the judge is and his late dad do not celebrate funerals or run up expenses and within 24 hours the dead man has died and buried. i fear for my good friend odubela, there is a point the fly following raw suya must depart from the suya or else it will quench in fire.let us assume that legally speaking this info was illegally gotten after tafa's fone was seized, what difference will it it make if during the illegal search of the fone ,it was discovered and revealed that he was fucking another man's wife?.will he still not suffer the consequences of that fact having been revealed to the husband of that woman though legally inadmissible in court?. They didn't figure the whole thing out very well from the start though some of us kept warning the tarfa to eat the humble pie and downscale the drama, rather he upscale with 92 SANS and ignore the age long proverb that those in glasshouse must not throw stones, now efcc has again brought out the 2006 case where he was arraigned for moneylaundering and was lucky to get a discharge and not an acquittal meaning the case can still be reopened if efcc has beta facts and beta motivation. take it or leave it ,all this boils down to negative effect and does not in any way enhances a reputation.Learnt a motion to call all lawyers out on strike cos of this was roundly defeated recently.i jus dey laugh.strike for wetin?.person wey no chop gbi fit die gbi ?.wetin concern agbero with overload? 1 Like |

EFCC knows how to bungle cases. Eye service makes them rush to call for arrest. Learn from the CIA, FBI or coming home Bamayi how he set up Diya. Pain staking investigation, gathering of evidence and facts not speculations. The Italian dept that arrest mafias I read spend years or several months practically shadowing the guys they want to arrest in order to get concrete evidence to nail these guys. When ppl heard the payment of 225k ppl were shocked. That money is ridiculous for a bribe in mordern day Nigeria to top govt officials. Offer that kind of money you have shot yourself on the foot 1 Like |

ITS Funny how ordinary Nigerians are quick to take sides with these corrupt fools. There are so many hard working honest nigerians and we are allowing a few ones ruin this nation. Yet we take sides with them. I'm not a lawyer but i know that if you have a case pending with a judge in court and you give him a gift of 1kobo towards his fathe-in-law's burial , that very act can form the basis for a mistrial. Lawyers in the house over to you. 1 Like |

Henovy: In trouble not in prison because everything is politicalized in nigeria and not genuine judicial system so set up na set up. If a member of an interview board calls me and tell me I performed well and that I am likely to be called, then I send him a recharge card to appreciate his concern, in future, you ppl can make it a bribe if I eventually get the job and someone else couldn't get it. |

ckmayoca:Its obvious you have not started working if not you would be familiar with the term conflict of interest. In a normal working environment, its the duty of the person you sent the recharge card to tell the panel or the company that you sent him recharge card. Failure to disclose this, he is guilty of whatever comes next..even if you decide to sue him that after he collected your recharge card, you were not given employment. 1 Like |

Otapipia: someone i know was involved in a case in england where police came to search pursuant to a search warrant in connection to a traffic offence and when they came in found marijuana and seeks to make a case out of it,the english court said the exhibits were illegally obtained and refuse to try them for the drug related offence.CAN EVEN GIVE YOU THE CITATION OF THE CASE but again that is England expecting a supreme court of nigeria case from you.all the same thanks for the response. |

praxisnetworks:Do not allow emotions to guide your reasoning...it is not a sacrosanct rule. There are instances whereby a Judge/Magistrate will decide whether legality is either sacrificed for the end of justice or justice is sacrificed for the sake of legality. More often than not, illegality may be permissible for the ends of Justice. Laws are made to promote Justice, not the other way round. Sections 14&15 of the Evidence Act 2011 throws more light on this. Its not so much about how the evidence was gotten. The court looks at the probative value, the importance of the evidence, the gravity of the impropriety and whether it was deliberate or reckless. 1 Like |
