Not easy to abstain from all this food especially egusi. You can still eat this listed food and have a flat tommy.

Don't eat anything past 5, personally, I only take fruits when it's past 5pm. My body is so used to it that if I eat any food around 6pm, to sleep will be very hard.

Try to 'plank' for 45seconds a day, it works like magic. You will see changes within 7days. Check on line. It works for me.

Great body is 70% diet and 30% exercise.
After my prayers in the morning, I do 10 push ups, 30 jumping jacks, 10 Russian twist, yoga and dolphin push ups and sometimes I forget. Believe me, a day won't go without peeps admiring my flat tummy. People even ask me if I eat at all.
I plan to keep this even after giving birth.
For real? How long will d exercise last? Minutes or hours? how do u meet up with work? And sorry what's 'plank'?

Four minutes. You can finish all the exercise I mentioned in four good minutes. Check on line for 'plank'. I don't know how to explain it. It will be kind of hard for a stater but the body will soon get used to it. It works lyk magic 4 flat tummy.

@op, What about plantain amala? I eat it a lot. Then about Egusi, it causes boils on the face. Is it worth it?

Thanks but no thanks. I don't need a foreigner telling me what Nigerian foods to eat.

I realized when I traveled out that their indigenous diets and ours are different for a reason; they suit the intended consumers. If I eat like a Nigerian in the UK I start getting bulky overtime from the heavy carbs and starches. If I eat like an english man here in Nigeria I suffer lack of energy from the protein-heavy carb-deficient style of eating.

You're based in the US, start eating like citizens there, your fitness gains might quadruple from the diet change.

My small advice for those looking to gain flat bellies: if you're male, find a small raised platform and learn to do pressups daily with your feet suspended on it. You can run or jog daily but this exercise is enough to reduce most of your body fat most especially that around your midsection.
For women, run or jog daily. That alone would shock your system into changing for the better.

I think you are blessed because some will do the above exercises in the said quantity, which I consider low, and still not be flat-bellied.

Factors such as genetics, level of activity, frame, nutrition, etc. could affect the size of belly.

...what's 'plank'?
1. Start by getting into a press up position.

2. Bend your elbows and rest your weight ono your forearms and not on your hands.

3. Your body should form a straight line from shoulders to ankles.

4. Engage your core by sucking your belly button into your spine.

5. Hold this position for the prescribed time.

Lately, I dont really eat food except it is necessary. Do I really need energy when I am not a laborer ? Smoothies and fruties are perfectly okay. I can do vegetables with chicken on a little rice in the evening. If I jam eba somehow, I am sure to run like 2hrs within that week to get rid of the calories.

sounds like anorexic in d making, watch it.

What is "Plank"?
And I heard sit ups if you stop gives you folds on your tummy. Can squats help the tummy?

I don't do sit ups. This is me in another moniker. Go and search for 'plank' on google. You will see the images there. It's kind of hard for starters but if u can be determined u will see the diff. Try it for a minute plus as a starter. Do it everyday.

Nice thread you got here.
If you don't mind, may i contribute my own 2 kobo piece(s) of advice and share my little and deathly cheap experience
I did find out that after miscarrying my second preggos, taking warm water with honey on a daily basis(as warm as i can tolerate) blasted my tummy faster and controlled my weight better than any trick i've ever know. Meanwhile, i was only taking it to heal my insides form the scars i felt the A&E may have left behind. I ended up been doubly refined. I'm a mom of 2 and got belly as flat as a board. These days i eat everything and anything i like except bread and iyan. Got no love. And when i start noticing weight gain of any sort, i resume my warm water and honey routine.
For the ladies; if you truly desire a flat post-baby tummy, always suck in your tummy before conception. It'd become a part of you before you know it and your tummy will respond faster to any help you offer it when trying to get back in shape.
DON'T do sit-ups, they seem to work initially but end up making ur lower belly fat even more stubborn to get off in the long run.
Don't do diet pills of any sort, they are more than likely imbued with a lot of terrible assortments that may put your health at risk.
Finally, dress according to your body type/shape.
Thanks Op
