chebyshev: Is it possible for your uncle to wire the funds to your Dad's account, with the latter transferring it to your account. Subsequently, your pops should write you a gift deed, stating that the funds was a gift. It's more appropriate and sound more convincing if a gift deed is coming from your Dad than an uncle. However, you have no problem if your uncle can afford to leave the money in your account for 6 months. Once the money stays in your account for 6 months, you dont really have to explain the source. |

link2jb: A minimum of 67 in 100 is a PREREQUISITE to qualify for FWSC, without which you would be ineligible. CRS is a ranking system that helps CIC/IRCC prioritize applicants that are able to make into the pool while FSW is an economic migration program for skilled workers. You have to score 67 in 100 to be considered skilled/qualified enough for the program. |

40manlappy: What's your wife's IELTS score? She holds the key here; she is younger and she has got a masters degree. A good IELTS score would get you to 400, which I sincerely believe is the easiest route for you guys. If hiring a sound "ielts tutor" would help, don't hold back. On the other hand, have you guys considered Australia. Australia awards more points for years of foreign experience and you do not lose much point on age as you grow older. Her profession is also in demand (in SOL list) in Australia. Personally, I believe it would be easier for you guys to migrate to Australia than Canada (considering your age and years of experience). Australia has a number of positives over Canada, a much higher wage rate and great weather. 2 Likes |

tyketurah: Your Occupation does not have to match your degree, so you get points for your highest degree which is masters. Your work experience would also count, just that you need to do more work on finding the appropriate NOC for it. If you are having trouble finding a NOC for e-money support, I suggest, you expand your role to align with the department from which you work and get your supervisor to help out with appropriate reference letter. For instance, if e-money support is under e-business support department in your bank, expand your role to align with e-business, find a NOC for e-business, and get a corresponding reference letter to back up your experience claim. |

link2jb: People with less than 300 exist in the EE pool, the crs score doesn't determine your eligibility, it is the ranking score used in selecting people for ITA. Age, level of qualification, years of work and low IELTS are the bane of fsw |

irondome: Unfortunately there's nothing like temporary health card for permanent residents in Canada, until you complete the waiting time you won't qualify for any public health care unless you take out a private insurance policy. I myself am not yet qualified for the Ontario health care because I haven't spent 3 months here yet. Also, I didn't take out any private health insurance, therefore I pray everyday that I don't fall seriously ill because if I do I'll be finished! |

Advise pls! How do I go about the Canadian express entry. I am a pharmacist same as my wife with an Msc in public health. I have gotten my documents evaluated by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (towards writing their certification exams). But I think I shld give express entry a try. Useful information will be highly appreciated. |

Hi. new to this thread. finally read all the pages. @zandora congrats on your job. apparently heaven heard your rant the other day. @jesusDway @irondome and all who contribute meaningfully to this thread, big ups! Please i have a few questions to anyone with info. 1)As regards the letter of reference from previous employers as proof of w/e......what happens in a situation where your supervisor at a previous place of work no longer works there? 2)PCC from the UK, i know zandora and/or someone else posted a link for that but i honestly can't remember the exact page. if you do not mind, could you help with info on how to get a PCC from the Uk as well as estimated cost and an estimate of how long it would take? 3)Any info on Nigerian trained medical docs who have done their ECA from MCC? how long did the process take? any pointers as to how i can fast track or help the process along? how much did it cost? 4)As regards the evaluation of your highest qualification...now if Mrs X evaluates only her MSc. What would her points be on the CRS skill transferability section?.....would she fall under the section of "Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer" with a maximum obtainable score of 50? OR under the section of "Post-secondary program credential of one year or longer" with a maximum obtainable score of 25? 5)Same question no. 4 above for a medical doctor. Thanks in anticipation. 1 Like |

iphie25: April 2.I didn't meet up with the March dates.Huh!!! speaking that is even the one I pay least attention to cos that is CLB 9 for sure.I taught you are in legal field so that won't be a problem.my previous attempt was CLB 9.there traps in all the modules and to spot them you need to be extra careful.for instance trap 1,the speaking examiner is looking at your travel passport to ascertain your indentity then ask your full name perhaps you have all three names written there i.e surname, first and middle name then you answer just your first & surname or vice versa you are caught in trap one.A friend made that terrible mistake that is why I highlight it incase you not aware.there other hidden holes you need to spot ooo!!! Wish everyone that will sit in March success. You will come back here and testify to the house with snap shots. Goodluck to all of you. 5 Likes |

hartson:On a second thought I'm wondering why it should be a problem that you failed to mention one of your names. And yes I'm a lawyer and am not scared of what to say per se...I guess it's anxiety...which ofcourse is a natural response to situations as this and am sure everyone has anxiety abt IELTS...the degree may vary tho. |

He was single as at the time he entered the pool, then we got married and after that he updated his marital status and then got the invitation. zandora: zandora: zandora:Hello Naira landers, This is my current situation. My husband has just been invited by CIC to submit his documents for PR.He wants to include me but the issue is I have not done my English test yet and this might reduce his required point and am not sure i can still meet up with his submission considering when my test score will be out.I was also refused study visa in March 2015 (I was not married as at that time) will this affect anything and can I apply for an open work permit in the middle of all of this. The first refusal really sad and I want to get it right this time. Please I need help. Thanks |

Hello House, Is the cost of MSC program cheaper for those with PR compared to intl students? For those who have immigrated already - Does having a canadian degree also equate to more job opprotunities? Kindly also shed more light on the ontatio nomination route. Thanks in anticiapation |

foeveryoungdiva: I don't understand, you've confused me. If your husband has already been invited and he declared that he was married then why does he want you to take the ielts when he has already been invited based on his score? Did your husband state that he was single when he entered the pool? Yet still, did he indicate that you had already taken the ielts and put dummy scores for you? Finally, did he enter the pool when he was single and now wants to add you? 1 Like |
