Onegai, where did you get the swim diapers?

I had it sent for me, because I checked supermarkets and The Palms and they didn't have it. But check those sport stores at Ojuelegba busstop. It used to be quite common, even Ebeano supermarket had it. I'll keep an eye out, if I see any, I'll let you know what store has it.

Stadora, please scroll down and look at a picture of Red acalypha. There is actual research on it that it helps a lot of fungal skin infections and it grows everywhere in Lagos. Just go to those gardeners that are on the road and ask them for some of the red leaf acalypha or show them that pic. HTH

I put a little semolina in a small pot and added small water
placed it on d cooker n started turning the mixture with my omorogun. I added more water until I got a smooth consistency. do not make it thick o.
I scooped the content of the pot in his plate, added milk n viola!!!!!!!!! before I could say Jack robbinson, the plate was empty.

I've tried a teaspoon or less of raw pap for my children and unbelievably it worked. Again that's just my own method sha.
I am also aware that stooling is a viral condition and will mostly just have to run its course! Do ensure the child is well hydrated keep giving lots and lots of fluids and use nappy cream to prevent a rash.

Hope this helps

In its solid form or watery? I just finished treating malaria and my DD now poos after every feed. Av been giving zinc tablet and ORS but she's still pooing.

You'll have to make it watery enough to go through his mouth oh. But remember just a teaspoon!

Nothing except pray really! Watch out for any rash/spot/fever/itching on him and immediately get him to a Dr/pharmacy so they can prescribe the right antibiotics and calamine lotion to prevent the itching.

See if you can stop them playing together for now.

Step up the use of disinfectant around the house too. Add bleach/disinfectant to water for mopping, change your sheets, disinfect any and every where you can.

It is well sweetie *hugs*

Many people start from about 10months but it depends on the child. Girls are typically faster than boys. With some people in "the diaspora", they wait till over 2 years before starting sef.

How old is the individual in question?

Do.you feel he/she is ready?,

You can try and see if baby will cooperate

Good luck
Thanks babythug. He is 11 months and how do I even go about especially as a working mum who leaves early in the morning and gets back in the evening.

Chicken pox is usually at a later age, I think from one year. So your baby is still young for that.

It depends on what you can afford. Then what do you really mean by best? Is it most expensive? Good and expensive? Good and affordable?

My opinion and I stand corrected
Huggies snug and dry is good but expensive.
South Africa huggies is good and affordable.
My friend uses Nigerian pampers and she keeps testifying of how good it is. She tried dry love diaper before Nigerian pampers and complained it sagged after her son peed once in it.
Assuming my DD didn't receive lots of huggies as gift, I'd have tried nigerian pampers.
You just look at what you can afford, diaper use is not a thing of class, no one will open babY's bum to see the type he/she is wearing.

Hello house,

Please kindly help me on this. for some days now, i have noticed that my boy gets warm and his temp gets to over 38. He doesnt cry or show any sign that he is uncomfortable when his temp is high. He was just 8 months last week and he is yet to have his first set of teeths, though he has been gnawling on anything his hand can hold, recently i noticed also that he has boils on his head (4 boils on his head) but he doest cry or feel any pains.

We took him to see a Paed twice and she said he was fighting an infection. but i dont think that is the case.

Please is it normal for an 8 months old to have sudden high temp? what could be the cause and what can i do to stop this?

Please i need your help

@kilonso001, the pead is right but I think she should have given something to bring down the temperature. Just my opinion tho, other mamas will respond. My DD has a boil close to her nose too. I've been applying ori (Shea butter).

It's been long I see @hajarahbadmus on this thread, hope all is well mama.

Yes, she gave some drugs and he temp came down. but it came up again. I am using something for the boil too and its disappearing. am just worried about the frequent rise in temp.

Do you have Infant painkiller? Depending on the one you have, maybe give according to dosage at home, for not more than 2 days. And consider non-medicating ways to cool him down (lukewarm water bath) perhaps.
