Yes it is because of Buhari's cluelessness. He called BDCs thieves and fraudsters and directed CBN to stop selling dollars to them that is why we have fake free fall of Naira thereby causing hardship to the massess. According to them, selling forex to BDCs depletes Nigeria's forex reserve. CBN released news that they will start selling dollars again to BDCs @ $400,000 every week because they have seen the impact of removing them from business coupled with what Ifeanyi Uba said and the naira started appreciating immediately.
So if Bubu is not clueless he will know that BDCs play very vital role in Nigerian economy in terms of foreign exchange.
In a week, a commercial bank can have forex demand from it's customers of about $90m to $500m, since CBN does not sell enough forex to commercial banks, they use BDCs to meet their customers demands for forex.

If we all recall, when Buhari was in London for the Syria Appeal fund (and his Medical Checkup), he faced a Question & Answer session with Nigerians living in the U.K and the issues of Naira Exchange rate and Closing of BDC's was asked.

The President openly stated that the Exchange rate was being MANIPULATED by a few people, ...and he mentioned the issue of CBN Directors owning Burea De Change, and then syphoning the "Govt Dollars", to their own BDC, at Govt/Official rate, ........to now sell in the Black market thereby making fantastic profit.

if anyone has Dollars to sell, let them sell it at the Black market or Whatever rate, that is not Govt's problem.
But no one should be allowed to take Dollars from the CBN...... and then take to sell at the Black Market

We all know this problem will fissile-out in a few months time, if the President can hold on and weather the storm from these #Wailers.
Just like the hyped fuel shortage, about a week ago.

He has a point. Give him the chance to prove it. When the president was busy shortchanging his people he did not know that they hold what he might need to move Nigeria forward. Right now Uba wants to prove to him that "if you know this one, you may not know the other". Those accusing Uba of being unpatriotic should know that patriotism is not remembered when Uba's kinsmen were abandoned at the bus stop when the bus still has empty seats. Uba wants reintegration and then the economic woes will be over. Lesson: Don't underrate anybody, group or tribe in a theatrical setting like Nigeria. God bless Uba!
