This is the 2nd 'generation'. The 1st generation is in a transparent casing like a Compact disk pack. I still have mine.

Of course nothing lasts forever, not even ur life. So if u have the opportunity to enjoy something today then my brother pls enjoy it. If u are waiting for iPhone 6s to turn 3k before u buy it then u would wait for probably 20 yrs, by then u will be eyeing the current generation iPhone and want to wait another 20 yrs for that one to turn 3k. Before u know it u don wait 80 years and still waiting.
