I see.

Jorgan,

Not all schools are assessed negative but they have list of schools they assess as positive. Information I got is that the list was collated in the 80s and they have not upgraded it since then

Ok boss. Remember that most Engr courses take 5 yrs to complete in naija.

I have a BSc in Biochemistry (a 4 year course) with abt 3 years work experience in Healthcare/NGO. I'm enrolled for a Masters degree in Public Health. I met some naija guys here who's been advising that I change my course to Occ Health and Safety, and start a new career in that field, they believe the Biochem/Occ Health and Safety will fly easily at VETASSESS. I was initially looking to nominate "Primary Health Organization Manager " with my Biochem/Masters in Pub Health combo. What do you guys think?

bellong:
^^^^ It is not about any leaders bro. It is more about VETASSES' myopic system of assessment.

At least Engineer Australia does not discriminate.

Bro how far? Been a while.

Please what's your opinion on my last quote

You must get a positive assessment from any occupation you choose. It doesn't matter if you have done one before. If you nominate a new occupation, you must be assessed for it.

Apologies, I thought I replied your email. Sorry about that.

Bhanjie,

The occupational health has more job opportunities for you post study because of government compliance, so every company requires WHS officers.

I guess it will help in your assessment and you need at least a year experience.

Dear PR gurus, please how can one beat VETASSESS's discrimination against BSc programmes studied over a four years period in Nigeria. This is becoming a huge disadvantage to us, no thanks to our leaders that have damaged our academic reputation.
I don't get you bro am planning on going this PR route for my brother he has to be assessed by VETASSSES what do you mean dey discriminate against four year BSC...he got a B.Ed tho in guidance and counseling don't they recognise 4year courses or they want it to be a 5 year course kindly elucidate...thanks

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Stanleych007: 8:01am On Feb 26, 2016
Sup bro, has your grant been released yet?
Franzeez:
Hello guys,

Sad news for me,

I finally got a response from the case officer saying she has received the the documents and that my application is undergoing further checks and that she cannot give a timeline to this but they hope to get it sorted out soon.

Dear friends with that mail I finally give up, I have also an offer in the California State University so I guess that will be it. I can't be wanting to spend my money to go to school and still bullied around for no just reason. Who knows how long useless checks will take and have me waste my time for nothing.

Thanks Nairalanders for all, I won't withdraw my application but rather I will just forget it as if no application was ever made.

Good morning house. Please I need imput from people here. I have read PR stories in here and I am considering following this route over academic.

I am 36, Married with 2 kids. I have a B.A in performing Arts, 9 Yrs of work experience in film and video (mainly as a content sales manager). IELTS General Test result January 2016 (L7,R7,S7,W7.5) overall band 7.0. I also have a certification in skilled trade.

What are my chances in this PR route and how long does the entire process take?

Is it also true that unlike Canada, Australia don't ask for Proof of Funds?

Please I do need an urgent contribution. Thanx in advance.

But can you skip those assessing bodies is you have 60points? Or you have to go through them?

After my evaluation with vetasesses, but my occupation has not been opened any where. So I am considering another occupation. With 60points already without work experience I want to bypass any assessment if possible..

The vetassess wait was not funny
You will need the outcome of a assessing body for your visa grant, bypassing won't fly, is either you wait for your occupation to be open or reassess for another occupation.

Out of curiosity, I also applied to ecu all by myself, when I got an offer letter from the school and I saw the tuition fees and duration of the course I applied for, I just started laughing!

@solitin40 & Johnhadey well the school fees for masters in engineering is $50,000 as against fees for UoN ( where I initially got an offer), UoN is $32,000 for one year for 3 semesters. The the cost of oshc is times two of UoN. Way too expensive for a university that doesn't even rank in Australia's top 20 universities.

Then the program is for 2 freaking years...with the way 9ja is going with the forex hullabaloo, dat means one has to spend 2 years struggling to pay only school fees of $50,000, without having a solid paying job in au with a student visa. I can't!

I salute u guys that r studying there, u r strong! Very strong!!

The summary is dat the school is way above my budget and study time frame. However, this has no bearing on your perspective of the school.we all hv different opinions n goals

ok..I see...ECU is still quite affordable with respect to charges per units offered..2 years is actually 4 semesters u know which means another 2 years for post study visa...
the business and management courses are quite the most affordable after charles darwin, and most flexible based on the per semester payment ($10800)...and since all australian unis are world ranked, I no look intra-ranking..

Please help me nairalanders. Someone Got this from GOAJO international and was asking me if is real, I mean the 40k.

Thank you for sending your documents through. In order to facilitate your admission/visa application process, you need to respond the following;

1. Have you been refused visa of any country before?
2. Do you have enough fund to study your intended course?
3. You are required to pay registration/admission fee of #40,000 only to account details below;

Account Number
Account Name: Goajo International Services Ltd.

Yes boss! But that post study visa is not worth it in my opinion, why not just head for the PR route straight, after all that's the highest/stable migration option after citizenship.
