Good day all.

I have interest in Human Resources, and would love to build a career in it. I intend to register for CIPM so i could start taking the exams in August. But I don't really understand how to go about it.

1) Once I've registered, how/where will I get my materials?
2) Where would I have preparation classes?
3) Do I also have to pay for the classes, or are they included in the whole registration process?
4) Is the Registration just for the exam, or as a student?
5) When should I register if I plan to sit for August exam?

Kindly help. Thank you.

Hi there...
Once u complete registration online, u print ur payment slip and take it to their office in ikeja, close to lagos state secretariat. You'd collect ur study pack there and u could buy past questions too (around 100 naira or so )

There are cipm acredited centers, a simple google search and you'd find them. There are several centres, its better to pick a center closer to you, to save on transportation n time.

Yes u have to pay for classes, n price differs, but approximately btn 25k to 35k, depends on d location.

You hv to register frst as a student member, then you will b able to register for exams and pick your preferred diet.

Im not sure when the portal will be open for august diet reg, but anytime from now, since feb exams are over. So just keep checking. But u can begin by registering as a student frst. U can register for the exams anytime before august.

Hope this helps.

@sonssyo

This is yemmight. When you mentioned that your Boss said anyone caught will be sanctioned. The so called sanctioned was not really clarified. In any disciplinary procedure, we have misconduct and gross misconduct. I don't understand if the detergent are being produced in your company. You did not mention if they were taken those items away. Bottom line, if they were caught taking company's properties home or outside without management's approval its called gross misconduct and that is subject to termination/dismissal and nothing less.

The key human resource issue for private and public sector organizations is how to identify, develop and retain talented leaders of the future. The essence of any organization's success is having in place not just people, but rather the right people to lead tomorrow who live the values today – so they can sustain the culture. Succession planning has been identified as one of the main sources for employee retention.

Typical Steps to Implement focus Succession Planning

1. Identify staffing needed to implement organization strategy. Develop succession planning metrics.
2. Select critical jobs. Decide on optimal replacement chart and pool structure.
3. Assess candidates.
4. Select back-ups.
5. Implement development plans.
6. Track progress against metrics for individual candidates and the program overall.

Please send your email address so that i can send some materials you might find helpful.

thanks boss, well d items ar not produced in our company but ar used for regular cleaning.my boss did not specify either,he wants me to carry out the action with my own power. well,i decided to penalize them(monetary value) as first timers, however i made some write up and pasted it on the notice board that going forward anyone found guilty of the same offence will be dismissed.sorry, just checked my mails now

Well warnings are meant to precede termination/dismissal.

I am sure you don't want to apply warnings in dealing with stealing/theft.

I understand stealing is bad but this is detergent and perhaps toilet rolls. Pple do things without thinking about its consequence. I worked in a bank, and often times lots of staff go into d ladies and pocket d rolls, so do u terminate their appointments?
There wasn't any policy in place before neither was any communicated to these staff. So things looks better now. And dey now know d consequences of their actions.
For me, it's warning, warning,suspension,termination.

Hi folks,
Please I need someone to help me with intermediate one study pack for CIPM, so that I can start studying the materials sooner.
I might not have the time to study them at a later time due to busy work schedule.
I intend to sit for the exam in August.
Thank you.

I really needed someone to help with Intermediate II past questions before writing the exam, but no one was interested in helping out. What is the essence of creating the group when we aren't willing to assist each other.
