It depends on how many semesters you have left. If you still have up to four semesters, it is achievable but if its just one or two, I doubt if it will be possible

Work hard, if you make first class, fine...if not, you move on...
One thing is, do your best so that in the end there would be nothing like 'had I known'...Goodluck

why not do the calculations by yourself by using estimated figures. To me it s impossicant.except you get A A A through out the years.

It is but there's a price to pay. Work very hard, make sure you properly understand what you are taught, try to complete your syllabus even if your lecturers don't complete it, answer as many relevant past questions as possible and above all, let God be at the centre of your motivation.

Recording F has nothing to do with achieving a First class as long as it's mathematically possible on paper.

OP, it depends on your school parolz. In my alma mater, once you have an F in a particular Course and on the long run end up with a CGPA from 4.5-5.0, you ain't getting a First class. Period!
You can still make it. All you need is to keep making comfortable 2.1 and 1.1 results until the end.

the knowlege of your chosen profession is what you should be after cuss there is different in learning to acquired knowledge & learning to pass an exam or have a 1st class without the ground root knowlodge of your chosen profession, so it'll be wise if you do your very best & leave the rest to God cuss at the end it's the will of God that will prevail & not your will.

Thanks all but something miraculous just happened, there is this course that I got D but suddenly when I checked now it has been Changed to A, but though the F still stands but am getting the feeling that we are going to redo the exam because everybody that did that exam got F which is impossible and the course is GST. Is just impossible for 300 plus students to get F

Its possible only if you get As in all your remaining courses till you graduate and pray you get an A in your project work too[you might need more that just academic brilliance but also networking skill for the project aspect ]

100 level first semester is too early to talk about first class, even if you had a CGPA of 4.82 in your 100 level first semester there's no guarantee. My advice is focus on your studies, first class product are known from 300L, if by end of 300L you make 4.6 as CGPA then sure you can come out with first class. In 2yrs time you can update us on ur stance, Goodluck.

3.76 to 4.16 wish you the very best bro.. Well ermmm just persist and errmmm aim for a 5.0 in ur second semester so that ur cumulative may ssum up 2 a 4.5 something...

All this ppl just yarning trash here tho...........bro 3.76 gpa for 1st sem in 8 semesters is encouraging, there is a very high chance of u making a first class, u dnt even av to get all As till u grad (try to sha), ur chances are soo high provided u remain focused and dedicated. Now that the gp is 4.16 even makes it better.

With 4.16,it is possible if you have loads of A's but with 3.76 and an F, it's not. In my almamater once you record an f, you can't have a first class.

I, for example, throughout my school days, my least cgpa was 4.13 in my first year, I even had 5.0 in my third year, I never had an F but I missed first class. I graduated with 4.42 (2.1), so I think 3.76 is low.

The bottom line is, work and study hard. It is not the certificate but what is upstairs.
