Pls name 1 private sector fellow that was called in by Govt that gave us sound economic policies? They ended up manipulating and arm twisting Govt. I will give u just 2 destructive examples. Fmr Min of Agric. Mr Akinwunmi ended up losing billions to the rice merchants who were advising him.
Fmr Min of Trade, Mr Aganga got swindled by the car assembly companies granting them concession to import Fully built up cars at old import duty. Pls tell me why no car assembly plant in Nigeria today is not boasting or advertising their Made in Nigeria cars?

In my opinion this is not a very good economic team. An economic team should comprise of people in government and the private sector. Also, why is this so called economic team quiet and not proactive? A lot of things has being happening based on speculation and not policies from the government.

utilizing people from the private sector will promote capitalism, the government seems to be one with socialist view, so I think it's better they source from within(government circles)
the question is, is it the best from within? we never can tell, till then, no excuse for failure when the going comes to an end. They have the liberty to blame and give excuses now, but will it be sufficient to give another 4years? 2019 will decide.

What changes are you expecting from these team now after been there for 9 months and nothing changed, instead things got worse. What are GMB'S economic policies?. This must be a joke... and they called Jonathan clueless. An economic team with no new player, just the same people that have been there and nothing has improved since their appointment. Emefiele- doing trial and error policies, Adeosun- who doesn't know her duties, Minister of trade and investment- does that one still exist?, VP Osinbajo- wetin concern SAN with economic matters. Nigeria is heading for the rocks with all dis. Buhari needs to go beyond party members to pick credible people that can resuscitate the economy.

I quite agree with you on some front. This present government does not have the best and most proactive brains working within. I fear the only progress this administration seek/will make will be in the area of fighting corruption. the problem is that will be counter productive, leaving us backward on other serious issues like technology, industrialisation, strategic international politics etc. Another fear is, what will happen to funds that have being saved after Buhari leaves, what if someone dubious hijacks power and squandered these funds. The body language of those around the president and politicians in general shows that Buhari is ALONE in his fight against corruption.

My advise is the president should concentration on fighting corruption, while he allows the VP or any other egg head to forge a constructive future for our dear country. This will be a win-win for us!
