same owner or same angel investor(s) ?

having a sister company should give them a longer lease of life though.

if they were sisters, they should be able to share vital resources, eg delivery services (like Kaymu and Jumia do) but that is not the case.

having the same investors though, could explain why both had to go lean very agilely fairly recently. maybe the foreign investors are (gradually) pulling out.

jumia seems fortunate enough to have secured double the amount of funding Konga got, and from a different source.

SA companies are generally about market dominance anyways.

jeez, they promised to pay me today but failed, I guess I will speak to my Lawyer about this . It is taking too long ,since first week in January. Despite the fact I sold my items off at ridiculous prices just to start off January, almost half a million naira with them.
I will suggest all merchants being owed by Dealdey should come together and storm their office and also make a public stunt about this ,then they will realise the essence good name in business.

Same owner - Sim Shagaya. Runs both Dealdey, Konga and eMotion. He also had another one fashioned in the mould of former vConnect concept.
