I'm looking at the courses now and I'm confused. Nixowl et al I got a question: what if after amassing the 140 core units as specified and the 12 electives there are still core courses left? Am I still graduating? |

JigsawKillah: This is what's happening now, Noun has updated the course registering for year 2016. In it the two courses are compulsory they are not elective. What am thinking is that those who has not register have to register it as compulsory not elective again. So we that have registered early, it seems we have to drop and register it,with the other course. Someone said that I should change it as wrong course code and type the other cit, so it will drop and later re-register it back. So what do you think now? |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by JigsawKillah(m): 3:25pm On Feb 26, 2016 |
oneluvs: I'll let it be. There are other courses to make it 140units. Look well, there are additional chemistry and biology. But you can do it if you want to. I've already registered them for exam so I don't wanna risk anything that will leave me needing more money. I'm near broke already |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Nobody: 3:36pm On Feb 26, 2016 |
JigsawKillah: You need a minimum of 120 credit units to graduate according to the NUC Benchmark for Undergraduate Programmes. This, in no way, relinquishes the requirement that you register and pass all core courses for your major. Okay, just take out a calculator and sum up all credit units for core courses only and you'll find that they're far exceeding 120. I do realize this reply may not be as verbose as necessary, but I hope it clears the air to some level. 1 Like |

Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Nobody: 7:42pm On Feb 26, 2016 |
shegsky: If you wish to register more courses to leverage the excesses the current reduction in credits for the courses in question would provide, proceed to your SC to drop just the affected course(s) and thereafter re-register. It doesn't matter whether you've submitted the corresponding TMAs or not. However, if the aforementioned isn't the case, then you need not bother. |

Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Kazrem(m): 8:40pm On Feb 27, 2016 |
daamazing:welcome to NOUN. After exam registration, go to your center. There you will do 3 copies of each of your credentials and put each in a folder. You will be told the color of the folder you will use. Then you will submit it there. When stamping of exam slip begins, you will go with 2 copies of your printed exam registration, attach 1 passport on each together with agreement form which will be sold at the center. Meanwhile ensure you do your exam registration on time to access your tma. I advise you do your tma yoirself but if there is any hitch in any one, feel free to ask. Wish you best in noun. |
