Van Gaal’s view of the result: “I am very proud but also very satisfied and happy because we have done it against Shrewsbury Town and we have done it against Midtjylland, against the pressure, and now we have done it against a very good team in the Premier League, so I am very pleased.”

Praise for a second win in three days: “I have said already in advance of the match that it is not fair that they have had four days in between matches and we have only two. We had to cope with it and we have done it. It is remarkable.”

An assessment of Marcus Rashford’s two-goal performance: “He was playing great, I think, maybe better than against Midtjylland because the resistance was higher and he did things better. He also scored two goals and I am very pleased with him. I think he shall be a very special talent.”

On his decision to play Tim Fosu-Mensah at left-back: “I was thinking for a long time that he could play better as a full-back. I said that to Warren [Joyce] and Warren has tried him out in the second team, and I think he did it very well. We have problems at the full-back positions and that is why. Then he came in against Arsenal and did fantastically. He didn’t make any mistake and that is fantastic.”

How is Marcos Rojo’s injury?  "I don’t think it is serious; it was a kick. We have to wait and see, of course. It was also a good position that I gave him the first minutes to play. My plan was already 60 minutes. He didn’t reach the 60 minutes because of the kick.”

The manager’s reaction to his theatrical dive to the ground, when remonstrating with the fourth official: “I was a little bit emotional, too much I think. It is not good for the authority of the referee and the linesman and the fourth referee. I have apologised and they have accepted it.”

We know our season has been really messed up by LvG and the players.

We are just happy monkeys like elfenocunthole and Pataki will run into the bushes with their tails behind there dissected ARSES for some time.

Some people will now claim they have been banned.

Wenger on Manchester United: "Let's not got
overboard. They had a very experienced midfield and spent a lot of money."

The match waz excellent & praise must go to those youngsterz but I still pity their career as long as Moanrinho would be in-charge (for those of u praying for Moanrinho to take charge, I think u should ask all the youthful winning chelsea youngsters on how he not only wrecked their future but told them waaaakaaaaa)

Yeah, a very weird scenario in LvG's time is that we've done pretty well against the top teams in the 2 years he's been there.

PICTURE: Pique helps Rooney mock Arsenal fan

Following Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal, Wayne Rooney tweeted Arsenal fan Piers Morgan. Morgan, who flip flops over whether he wants Arsene Wenger to get sacked or not, has regularly given Rooney stick over the years.
Gerard Pique, who saw Rooney’s tweet, then retweeted it to his followers.

This is why i'll always say no to Mourinho. If we hire the dude, he'll only come to kill our youngsters. Players like Depay, Rashford, Januzaj ll suffer under Mourinho.

With all these youngsters, the future looks bright for us. And IMO all we need is a few key signings, healthy players who would stay injury free, and a good manager who knows how to mix new, young and old players and someone who can squeeze out 3 points on a regular basis and we'll be back to the top of English football in no time. And maybe even in Europe too.

My top 3 preferred managers. Simeone, Pochettino and Giggs. We give it to Giggs only if the other 2 are unavailable...

Yeah, expect to win nothing with youngsters due to their inconsistencies and inexperience. The best is to have a strong team 1st, like 2008/09 squad, and integrate the good ones gradually.

in as much that we are a club that really promotes young stars, can we rely on teenagers every time? its just that Wenger has lost it,we dare not use those kids against a Chelsea?football has really evolved,we need top class players who can b consistent, even Barcelona that is famed for using their academy well have reduced so,I think d most recent outta their academy is sergi Roberto, and he's 22 and really really good...look at Bayern, how many players have been promoted to 1st team under pep? even Madrid,athletico....no one relies on kids anymore, yea they can b used from time to time but football has changed in such a way that there's no more patience for young stars....if we want to b a force in Europe in dis current era of football,we need reliable proven players, and I see no one better to lead them other than mourinho....
