The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has apologised to Nigerian on the controversies over the sudden resignation of the erstwhile Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh.

In a statement released on Monday, NFF categorically denied Oliseh allegations of either not being respected or of not getting the support of the NFF.

The federation cited the example of paying him three months’ salary in advance as a new coach – something that had never happened previously in Nigeria football- in order to help him settle down. The federation also claimed to have introduced him to their principal partners/sponsors in order to show they had total regard for and was fully supporting the coach.

Oliseh, few minutes before sending his resignation email, the statement added, had written a mail to the NFF President about his trip across Europe to see players. The request the NFF President approved.

NFF while clarifying that Oliseh indeed resigned and was not sacked, insisted that they bear no grudge against him and wished him well in his future andeavours.

In conclusion, NFF seek the forgiveness of Nigerian for any wrong they might have done and asked for understanding and continued support and prayers even as they go through a “very difficult financial situation under which we are working”

It's sad that a man like Oliseh who has benefited more from Nigeria will turn around to insult them.He knows that criticism is part of the game. And successful coaches had lived with criticisms to achieve results.

I blame the clown called Amaju Pinnick for giving a top job to a loud mouthed dude ..

Thus nff sef are really depressing

This same NFF hired Oliseh without any coaching experience to managed Super eagkes not golden eaglets o

What do they expect ? Abeg they should save us the explanation and move on with better coach atleast siasia went through the ranks and have relevant experience

I can now see the lackadaisical banny brains embedded in the NFF strata.
Its unfortunate. Oliseh gave indications to be sacked even before he openly disgraced the Footbally arena by outcrying that he was attacked by eulogized witchy crafty. Why apologised whwn the did is already done.
Bufoons in a mediocre fullarbrandy. Nonsense!

Anyways...

They got used and dumped...

Not like am in support of what Oliseh did...

But u always dont pay ur coaches as at when due and u expect them to perform on d field..
even Siasia that has a patrotic heart has nagged about salary b4...

They should put their house in order and stop ranting!!! wink

Your apology to Nigerians should be why you appointed an individual with no single experience of managing any senior team to manage our most senior team.may be you fell for his TV analysis but its a different thing to implement it on the pitch
To coach any senior team both in clubs and national football you need a coach with great man management skills and tactics Oliseh have none of it,what then is he doing as the coach of super eagles when his CV only include coaching youths in far away Europe as his experience

NFF and their drama .... Put a structure in place to pay ur coaches . And for ones they should be serious about prompt payment of salaries and players entitlements , if they can put these things in place they will earn our respect .

Go and apologise to Keshi for the way you treated him. You sacked him because he was looking for another job when you have not treated him well.

Thank God for the experienced coach that is newly appointed to uplift the super eagle. Sunday Oliseh lacks experience, tolerance and patience. But he is a good coach
