Obiagelli: High nutritious grasses... Lol. Your conscience have been overbooked by destiny snatchers. That been said, government should Arrest and prosecute those fulanis welding Ak47 guns and other sophisticated weapons. No one license such arms to individuals and this should not happen in a democratic setting. Government should also concentrate this people in the unoccupied region of borno state like the sambisa forest, tax them and use the fund to import nutritious grasses for them including provisions of basic amenities and infrastructure. I learnt sambisa is as big as all south east. You sent soldiers to the creek to kill a man tapping oil resources from his farm land whereas his Rivers and farm land has been polluted but feign ignorance to the atrocities of the fulanis who uses their cattle to destroy Peasant farmland and killing them in the process. 3 Likes |

Ogbeh has started. I expected him to be off the mark quickly in his usual thievery and true to form in classic manner it is imported Brazilian grass. A leopard can never ever change its spots. When they come up with these crazy, unverifiable, unquantifiable schemes just know that its leopard feeding time. The ultimate virus is one that mimicks the human cell or hides underneath it such as the HIV. The ultimate corruptor is one that can hide under a government acclaimed for its anti-corruption wars and successfully plunder it. 2 Likes |

" We have Imported grass from Brazil" -because our grass is not good for the cows. " Grow grass in the south, transfer to north" " Get crude oil from south give to other regions" - when will other regions give to the south. 2 Likes |

So most of these herdsmen are foreigners, and they have been killing Nigerians and destroying our crops and farmlands, and our government failed to protect its citizens,..... Another revelation from our Father. God unto your hands we commit ourselves 2 Likes |

GodMode: They all get a share of the "Oil money". Northern states with land mass and higher climates, any sane country would build solar panels all around those areas for electricity generation. |

MadCow1: What's there in this fhucking story to read? It's a big shame to our genetics engineers and agricultural scientists because if this government was truly serious, these set of people and can genetically modify to get the desired grasses we want. Must we import everything. I won't be naive to believe whatever reason the minister is giving |

OP you have to stop this Nairaland habit of posting headlines that convey a different meaning from the body of the story. It is a sign of lack of integrity. |

9jatatafo: Yeah.. We are here now. The universities are the ones supposed to be carrying out these researches. But because of poor funding, they have resorted to mediocrity just to keep head above water. So yeah we have imported seeds.. Now those seeds would be planted and more seeds would be gotten from them to continue planting, e.t.c. We must improve everything, that goes without saying. But whilst we fix things, we need to survive. I watched this ministered Ministerial appointment screening and I am very hopeful he will deliver based on how he spoke about the things needed to set Nigeria on the path to Agricultural recovery. While our Universities and the Ministry of education gets their shiit together, we will in the interim import cultured seeds to plant. This is definitely better and cheaper than importing fruits and produce. |
