Eeyah, I can't even say people should not vent their anger. This thing is beyond frustrating. Tuesday will make it 9 months since the first set of people had their AC. If 9 months is not enough to select 60 people or even if na 1 person out of 600 left, I don't know what to say. #EpicFail angry

Even EH that did interviews after have been called. It just shows where GTs are on their priority list. I'll say like "infinity" on a scale of 1-10. I really wish these guys all the best in their future endeavors.

Surely going to be a weekend of insults grin

So people still remember what happened on their AC day with so much precision?Hmmm thats brilliant o...me I don't remember jack mehn

Likewise. I think I do remember a few faces. 3 ladies, 3/4 people from UK, 1 from my city where I live

If not for the whatsapp group we formed, I'm sure I'd have forgotten all my fellow candidates of that day.

I barely remember the exercises anymore.

I don't think that guy is in the recruitment process. Bringing God into minute affairs of man, when God has given you capacity to reason is utterly weak, and has ruined one of the most godly nations, your very own naija.
Do what is right and don't bring God into issues.

On AC day (that's assuming I'm right about who she is) she was quiet like a library o. Only for her to come tear tear my boxers here and single handedly take on some men like say nobi anything. Fear quiet people. Like NAS said "Quiet niggaz become jail riot niggaz". I fear my head o

There were 3 ladies on our AC day, but I remember only 2. The fair Bonny UK lady, and a slim quiet dark lady.

Pls describe the 3rd lady, if you don't mind.

Dway4ward, you're spot on. Money is not the most important thing in one's career. Many of us grew up with the mentality of making a positive impact and being the best but unfortunately we've gotten into systems that don't work that way thus we've become frustrated, despite the so-called big salary, because our work environment is not conducive for making impact.

NLNG have really proven in no uncertain terms that they are a TRULY NIGERIAN COMPANY.

Sometimes I feel angry and saddened when I see the way the management of the so-called big company I work with make decisions, extremely slow would be an understatement.

At the end of the day, I'll have to go set up something of my own in order to make as much impact as I want and be satisfied, of which money will come naturally.

How can you leave God out of this. When He is the beginning and the end; He knows everything and whosoever rely on him will never fail.

Dont missunderstand my statement, I am not arguing that God has not given us reasoning capacity but He is still the one that crowns effort.

I had to make a choice between adding NSE and COREN or choosing to go on a paid scholarship. First line of action would have enabled me survive in this tough economic clime but I saw it as too much for a graduate role and the team could read that as one who'll not be as trainable (one with too much external experience might be more stuck in his ways and not adapt as quick to our organisation). The second line of action, further studies will show willingness to learn and can counter the excess experience, hence my choice. A sane recruitment will take a year from advert to resumption, I expected to complete my thesis off-campus. I took this decision because of the image they had portrayed. My skills set is strictly for the industry affected by this oil price crash. Do you know if the great Dane is in accounting or IT with easily transferable skills? That line of "move on" is very patronising, as you know not individual unique circumstances.

I am actually moving on yes, I knew I'll be the ONE if that was all was needed by NLNG; but with this delay and lack of opportunities in engineering; I'm taking my skills to another industry, and I'm not selling to a Nigerian management again.

Venting may not change the long wait. But it sure as hell is therapeutic. I fully endorse it. So vent as much as you can and let's all get back to waiting or moving on with our lives.

@bolded, how could you make a choice based on what nlng would think? Moreso, an uncertainty; not like you have joined already... At every point in life, you should make decisions best for YOU! Nlng too makes decisions that are best for THEM...
Also, your decisions should be about excelling in life as a whole not just at nlng because nlng isn't where life ends...
Then, what if you were wrong with your assumption concerning the first option? What if that option would have put you in a good light? Like: wow, you have achieved a lot for someone still within the graduate trainee range? What if they would have seen you as an achiever?

However, either of the options are still wonderful. ..

All I'm saying is that, you shouldn't let nlng put your life on hold or influence your decisions greatly. . Live your life like they don't exist; do what's best for your life, atleast not until you've joined them.... Whenever they call, you can weigh all options and make the best decision. .

All the best. ..

After the mails that dropped in January, out of anxiety I finally swallowed my pride and called an elderly and very reliable source. He refused to tell me my fate, but asked me to move on with my life and forget about this recruitment for a while. That "IF or WHEN" I get called, i can compare to whatever i am doing and decide if i still want it or not. I felt bad that day, cuz i thought it meant i may not have made it to the final cut, and he just didn't want to break my heart. But now i fully understand him, these guys are indeed not ready for us, and no one truly knows when they will be, even those in high places.

My brethren, truth be told. NLNG is just like any other ministry in the country. Filled with many of those who have refused to retire.
Yes, they have a young, active and agile workforce but still, the blood of old NNPC still runs in its veins. Why are we even surprised? How else can we explain that mails for AC invites were intially sent to wrong recipients at first before there correction.
Ineffective communication, Slow in decision making, Lackadaisical attitude to serious issues (such as this recruitment), always ready to give excuses for incompetencies, never able to meet deadlines, etc...all these I have seen from this recruitment, and not all those qualities they advertise in that stale website. Imagine, the website has even refused to be updated.

What a TRUE NIGERIAN COMPANY.

Let me stop here. Cos if I say what is in my mind, they would just recruit the FBI agents on this thread to unmask me and take my name off their list...But what do I care!!! mtchwwwwwwww

Watching u guys vent is enough therapy.

I am also curious about the numbers left in the process as well. The paucity of information since the AC is curious. We haven't been able to certain, with precision, the number of people left in race or the number of us to be eventually recruited.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone is deliberately dissemination false speculations about the numbers and dates, knowing fully well that our various sources will pass the info down to us, so as to further keep this recruitment shrouded in mystery.
If we are still unable to get information about such a trivial thing as the number of us left in the race, then rest assured that more important information, like the number of us to be eventually taken and the date of resumption, being bandied here are not to be trusted.
