With your funds in your Account you will definently get your grant. Note that Diploma is assessed as AL3 though (3months). To the House, I advice any prospective applicants that intends to apply for SVP 572 without submitting good Bank Statement (fat one) and SOP. Do not waste your time. If you opt to apply for any 572, please include a fat Bank Statement in order to get your grant. Pretoria rejects 572 SVP like akara now, it's just a copy and paste on the refusal page. No serious reason. Anyone applying for 572 SVP should package it as if it is AL3. richnet: |

All 572 applicants are now classified as AL3. You must include bank Statement fat one. Although pretoria will not tell you, they will gently push it to the best Officers that are good with Visa Refusal grammars, them go even de laff when them they reject you. Very biased ppl in that Office, I pray that they should overhaul all of them by June. 573 is better, quick Grant without stress. We have cheap Unis in Oz and I will advice any prospective brothers or sisters to apply for that. Esp when your Offer is packaged, it makes it cheaper for you to deposit whether Postgraduate or Undergraduate. Don't spoil your records in Pretoria by looking at SVP 572. It's just an Hoax. I don't mean to scare anyone, But it's a simple truth and I think the house needs to know. The difference in fees is just a small amount of dollars. Some Schools (573) will even require you to pay as low as 9k dols, including OSHC. Heads up guys RedReact: |

elawdafinest: Ok thanks for the clarification. Chi50 has already answer your question. If a Medical Officer of Commonwealth assessed your case as "meets with undertaking", you will be required to sign an undertaking that you'll follow up when you get to Australia. In sum, you can still get your visa if "they see something around your lungs". |

Good morning: Justwise, Kunlay11, Bosslady, Bellong, Manweysabi, NNBB2012, alaoeri, lawland, scrollmeout, other gurus in the house I would like to know the chances of securing banking jobs in Australia. What are the prospects for immigrants? Any banker in the house? I am 37 years old with over 9 years banking experience. I have had a few years experience as a Branch Manager in the banking industry. Though my role has been changed to a "Relationship Manager", I also figured that the most related skilled occupation class (CSOL) is : 149914 My overall IELTS (General) score was 7.5 and my qualifications include BSc, MBA and ACIB. |

Jumybecks: 1. I disagree with RedReact. I would be very surprised if you got a PhD admission with your BSc degree. I am yet to meet someone here who got a PhD position straight outta BSc. Even Australians do Honours degree for a year before applying for PhD. According to my Uni's grad school, one may get an offer with an exceptionally good profile. For example, if the applicant has > two years solid research experience and some good research papers in some really high impact journals like Nature, Science, Cell, Brain etc. In sum, you should consider doing a MSc. 2. Yes, there are partial and full scholarships, albeit very competitive (I can not stress this enough). 3. Of course, there are postdocs positions (a.k.a jobs after PhD, the transition phase to Assistant professorship positions), but I think you should be more focused on how to get an offer. 4. Based on my experience, I would advise you consider USA. You will be able to apply directly for PhD programs over there, however you will need a decent GRE score, GPA, etc. Good luck. |

Jumybecks: Just like FutureDon's advice, it is extremely difficult to get a Ph.D. admission with a B.Sc. degree. You may want to look at U.S schools where an M.Sc. degree is not a prerequisite for admission; you just need a competitive GRE score as well as a decent cgpa. Cheers! |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by erictack203(m): 9:06am On Mar 05, 2016 |
It's not difficult, it's impossible! Maybe they are trying to mean Postgraduate by Research (Which is Masters by Research). The perequisite for getting a PH'D is Masters. PHD is Doctorate degree. masperano: |

RedReact:Thank you so much. I saw some schools in Australia that allow MS/PhD. I'll look into North American countires (US and Canada)as well. Pls I'm open to suggestions pls. Thx a lot. Have a great weekend. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 11:58am On Mar 05, 2016 |
FutureDon:Thx. Your answers were explicit. I have a gpa of approximately 4.4/5. What GRE score should I target for PhD admission in the US? Any other advice? |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 12:05pm On Mar 05, 2016 |
masperano:Thanks. I guess I'd have to focus my attention on US. What else would you advice. I have a GPA of approximately 4.4/5 |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by alaoeri: 8:09pm On Mar 05, 2016 |
40manlappy:You will have to assess your B.Sc with the relevant authority which is 15points, your age is 25points, if your years of experience isn't cut by your assessing body which i doubt that is 15points & your IELTS must be minimum of 7 in each band to score 10points, calculate your points if it's up to 60, you are good to go & regarding employment opportunities whenever you get to Australia you will surely cross the bridge. 1 Like |

johnsontade: I mean the CDR cover page/declaration. Or is that not required with online applications? |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by johnsontade: 9:16pm On Mar 05, 2016 |
jukeblam: Its no longer required. All you need to upload is your 3 episodes(to be uploaded separately), CPD, summary statement and other required supoirt documents like your transcript, cert e.t.c. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mrkayodeoludare: 11:35pm On Mar 05, 2016 |
@Alaoeri....why would any assessing body cut down on one's years of experience? Do they normally do this to make hitting 60 elusive or they'v got genuine reasons? alaoeri: |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by alaoeri: 11:48pm On Mar 05, 2016 |
mrkayodeoludare:Honestly can't answer but they do claim to have genuine reasons for doing such, am not saying there's not oh but hardly will you see someone from this part of the world whose years of experience isn't tamper. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by FutureDon(m): 5:46am On Mar 06, 2016 |
Jumybecks: You have a decent GPA, well done! My knowledge in that area is outdated, I believe. I successfully applied to some schools more than 2 years ago. I know for sure that with that GPA and decent GRE scores, you'll get fully-funded PhD offers in Yankee. In order not to keep derailing this thread with Non-Australian matters , I would suggest that you jump on the US thread. I bet there are current and past PhD students on there. 1 Like |

Hello bellong,debsty,pingu2k5 and other gurus in the house, Quick question.Hubby was assesed based on his experience with two different companies. As at the time of his assesment lAst year,Company A gave him 1year and Company B gave him 4years totaling 5years and making him 10points. As it stands now,he's spent 5years with company B so he wants to remove Company A completely entirely from his EOI or mark it as non relevant on his EOI. What do you think?Could that give him issues when he's invited and now has a case officer? I hope my question is clear enough. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by RedReact: 6:52am On Mar 06, 2016 |
FutureDon:Same thing we are saying, concernomg No 1. It is possible iff the cgpa is in the first class range, and extremely high sef; if he has been writing research papers, even for his last two years. With his cgpa, I believe he can't get it but a research based , masters is very sure. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by RedReact: 6:57am On Mar 06, 2016 |
Jumybecks:In Oz, that one too is competitive but you , might get a Graduate Assistantship offer from your dept. You would have to relate well with your prospective prof before this can happen. Surest bets are North American countries; preferably Canada. They have same PR pathway with Oz in Canny. |
