See, it would have been a different story if the Police and Soldiers did not support and encourage the northerners. Yorubas are not cowards and weaklings especially in their own territory. The Yorubas were clearly helpless and already at a disadvantage because the law enforcement agents were helping the other side.

It is not the yorubas fault nor is it Igbos. Obasanjo and Jonathan failed to unify and strengthen the South to be at par with the North. Obasanjo tried it subtly but still openly supported the north who put him in power. Jonathan empowered only the Igbos and Ijaws mostly, and dumbly feared the north, thus dividing the south further.
