zizi04:Depends. At 31, good jobs would be very difficult to come by. This is because most organizations are majorly interested in young lads with fresh blood and fresh ideas, the desired age range is between 20 - 28. Notwithstanding, this does not mean anyone above the age of 30 can't land a good job in Nigeria. Possessing any of the underlisted could be your saving grace; Years of experience : say 2 - 3 years of experience in the corporate world would go a long way in swaying recruiters' interest. Some companies hardly recruit fresh graduates, this is because they do not have the patience to train them or they are not ready to dedicate their into resources doing so. They want experienced hands that will hit the ground running once recruited(This is where you come in if you have that needed experience/expertise). No experience is a waste o, experience na experience. Connection: The importance of this in Nigeria labour market cannot be overemphasized. Out of the first five guys to get a job from my set in school, 3 were already above 30. They had enough connections, couldn't go for NYSC since they were above 30, within 3 months them don get jobs while youngies like us still dey serve as teacher in one village in Umuorokoro. Good Grades: First class or 2:1 would get you invites for tests and interviews. Your intelligence and performance in the interviews should land you one of the jobs, regardless of your age. God: If God could make Sarah get pregnant in her seventies and give birth to Isaac, why should you be worried about getting a mere job at 31? If you do not have any of the listed above but you have enough capital and business acumen required to start up a business, I would suggest you go for it. 11 Likes 7 Shares |

karleone:I get you bro. I am fully PRO-LIfe, but id tell u this... even some people who say they'd never abort, when it comes down to it, and they find them selves in such situatons, some still will. Why? Cos of selfishness, thinking only of themselves at the moment, and then you'd hear things about no money, or no family support, or not being ready or something. I'm not being judgmental, but its d truth. Premarital sex is the reason for most abortion cases in the frst instance and as wrong as it is, last time i checked - condoms arent still expensive either. Abortions are wrong, plain and simple. Its murder. Its sinful. And like alota other things, there are implications. If people arent ready for children, then zip-up, or better still, use a condom. But people wont listen. 2 Likes |

Moyarh: Its easy to talk like this. Im not speaking up for abortions. God forbid. But i feel the reason people do it is tht right from the beginning, the girl is alone. She faces all the trouble. A boy once told a girl u only asked to put on condom in round one. You didnt hammer it well wen we were doing round two. The society frowns upon a lady who doesnt have pristine reputation. Tell me, will u marry a girl who already has a kid or two cos shes pro life? A guy once told me... if ur so into condoms, u should buy it yourself and stop disturbing me. Even with all precautions... pregnancy occurs and theres no support for the woman. only blame. Why did u do it? what were u thinking? You have sinned! youre a prostitute. No man will marry you now. nobody even thinks... what if she was actually careful and it still happened? Carrying a pregnancy to term and caring for a child is a life choice. You have to be psychologically ready in order not to be a screw up. Anyone who considers abortion isnt psychologically ready. Dont stop them... cos if tuey bring tht child to life, they might ruin tye child. Society also knows this... thats why you dont just give a child to anyone who comes to adopt. You have to carry out all necessary findings. Unfortunately, society insists a woman must birth her pregnancy whether she likes it or not. But a woman who wnts a child willingly has to go thru serious scrutiny. Its a double standard. Sorry for jumping in and putting down this epistle. 1 Like |

Moyarh: I'd rather go with the bolded than the stroked. Sorry to say. It's not being childish or playing holier than thou, rather, it's being me. I believe there's always an end to every sexual intercourse. If that is not achieved, why indulge in it? I'm sorry, I don't like discussing this issue because I've been made to feel pained, in the past, cos of my stand/stance. Thanks for your contribution. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

I couldn't trace what led to the discussion on abortion. but overtime, I have argued on both sides of the divide and discovered that issues like this can't have a meeting point, circumstances differ, mistakes happen, Life happens. So at this point, I am at a "Live and Let Live" phase. PS: I have had an encounter with someone who has done an abortion and the story was too awry that I now know that you can't judge or place this things. Modified Another PS: what does Pro life really mean? That a lady should keep the baby of a rapist? That a bed ridden man shouldn't be allowed to take his own life? Or that a serial killer shouldn't be hanged? - what does pro life mean? |
Re: Jobs/vacancies Section Chatroom by Moyarh(m): 10:23am On Mar 05, 2016 |
teechudleyy:I carefully read all you said, and i agree with most of it, but please get this - me saying im pro life is not about being judgemental about the issue or people who have aborted. That has never and will never help any1 in that situation. I know some people who have aborted pregnancies, and in most cases, some still continued having unprotected sex after that. For people who happen to carry unwanted pregnancies, they wear the shoe and they know where and how it pinches. My main base is that, others should listen, watch and learn from those peoples experiences and know what to avoid, cos it keeps re-occuring, following the same patern. |

Dahveydson:Morning bro. Its not an arguement or a debate, and its not a matter of being right or wrong, cos its easy for some1 to just talk without really knowing what its like to be in that situation. I was talking to karleone about something in his signature. In issues like this, there are so many ways to look at it. My discussion with him was based on me looking at it from the perspective of circumstances within control, which are some times very avoidable. |
