Its a scholarship program. The faster you learn the language, the easier it is for you to understand. Their method of teaching is not like that in Nigeria. If you are ready and willing to learn, your performance will not be hindered. The certificate is also very tenable.

How BEA scholarship nominees are selected

Let me tell everybody secrets of BEA Scholarship today, so, you'll know your chances and get prepared more. The whole selection process is based on 100% marks. Your WAEC will be 60 marks, the interview test is 40 questions, hence 40 marks. 60+40=100.

How will my WAEC produce 60 marks?

That's simple. The apex WAEC grade is A1 then B2, B3, C4... etc.

So, If you have A1 in chemistry, that's 12 marks, if you have B2 that's 10 marks, if you have B3 that's 8 marks.....and so on.
They will consider only your 5 subjects including English and Maths. So if you are lucky to have all A1, that means 5 A1's, then 12x5=60! If you are Albert Einstein and you pass the test 40/40 that's 100%.....Russia direct!

Let me illustrate further...
For Science Applicant, they'll consider English, Maths, Chem, Pzics and Biology. So assume this is your result:
English=B3,
Chem=B3,
Pzics=A1,
Bio=A1, and
Maths=C4.

So it means 8+8+12+12+6 which will give 46. When you take the test and score 30: that means 46+30=76%. Unless if there several gurus who applied from your state, with this score you have 95% chance to be called. (The remaining 5% lies on you providing required documents)

Note: sometime you'll have all docs and score big, but still not called, that simply means there are several gurus from your state who applied or you didn't meet one crucial criterion.

Note2: Normally, the host state (where the test take place) and have high applicants, so if the test is in your state this year, your chances are slim, nonetheless, don't loose faith.

Note3: failure to provide one of the compulsory document is almost similar to not applying, even if you score well.

So, everybody can use the above analysis to analyse his/her result and read hard to score big in the test. Wish all Bros and Sis Success.

I am from Benue, the host state and I am applying for PG. do they consider SSCE as the only parameter of selection? your above analysis is scaring me because my SSCE is not distinction but credits.

for PG you don't have issue with SSCE. they nominate based on your transcripts value and degree class.

Hey, bro! Based on this analysis, would you advice someone without a birth document from the NPC, but with just a court age declaration affidavit, to show up at the interview venue?

The number of people that apply for some countries are so large that you might not be favoured. For example, Russia. But there are some other that people don't go to much. I think Hungary is one of them.

ejitemi1:

Yea u r right though, Russia and China are receives the highest applications because they send the most number of slots (sometimes up to 50+) and dey r easier. Whereas Japan anf Hungary sends much lesser slots and dey'll still have to write another tough exam here in Nigeria b4 dey r finally selected.
I don't know where your are all getting this info. The reality defend on how much you score in the test and your waec NOT on the country. If you have 50 in waec, 30 in test, that's 90 so even if you chose China and 1000 people chose China also, you'll surely be nominated. Likewise if in your waec you have 25 and test you score 20 that's 45, so even if you're the ONLY one who chooses China you'll NOT be nominated. This is the bitter reality, because some guys know their score is low so they think by choosing less applied country they have advantage and that's mockery of self. How can somebody get 90% and be denied because he chooses China? and you get 40% and be nominated because you choose Algeria or whatever it is? Let's be sincire to our selves. Thnk you.
