Hi everyone, I intend applying for a Msc Economics program or equivalent with English language as the language of instruction in a German school for the 2016 winter seasion. Anyone already running a master program in Germany here? I need informations on the easiest schools in Germany where I can easily gain admission into my program of choice. Any useful information in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Also I heard as part of the requirements for obtaining a German student visa, one have to pay a certain amount of about euros 8000 into a German blocked account. I'd like to know if its compulsory to do this before one can apply to the German embassy for a student visa or is it possible for one to apply without necessarily funding the block account

Thanks
What is ur BSc CGPA?

As for the bolded the block account is a way to show proof of funds for ur sustainability in Germany.. Germany doesn't require any f**cki bank account statement. They believe in action. If the money is there open a German block account and fund it with €8000(N1,750,000). This is a condition for issuance of visa.. If you don't/ can't do this NO VISA FOR YOU..

Option 2:
Another viable option to show proof of funds is, if you have any close relation that is legally living in Germany permanently , that has a legitimate employment /business that fetches him steady income. You can get this person to write a letter of sponsorship stating he will be responsible for ur upkeep while studying in Germany.. He has to write it and send to German authorities where he reside to approve before sending it to you to submit to the embassy...

Option 3:
Here you can explore the option of scholarship. This is where your CGPA comes to play. If ur CGPA is very high you stand a chance of being awarded a scholarship in Germany.. You just need to show the letter of scholarship to the embassy.

Ps - You can apply for scholarship here www.daad.de
Apply and send the application slip together with all Ur admission application documents to the school of ur choice. If you win a scholarship the school will notify you and send you both the admission letter and scholarship letter.

Hi guys,

I have been trying to search this tread to see if my question has been addressed earlier(so as not to pull u guys back) but it seems to be taking ages and delaying my documents submission. So I'll just have to ask.

My question is regarding document certification:

1. What days and time does the embassy in Lagos certify documents?

2. How long does it take? Can I get it same day from the embassy?

3. If I choose to use the federal high court what is the average cost? Will I be charged per document?

Thanks as I anticipate ur response.

Had a Naija guy who was leaving for his exchange semester abroad for 6 months and was. Willing to rent out his studentenwerk partment for 220 in Freising but he is gone now.
Hold enough money, the greatest undoing for you will be not getting a studentenwerk apartment before coming over here. Munich is not a city for students (especially with only 8k).
You might struggle if you dont hold more than enough. Reach your coordinator if he can help arrange an emergency bed for you with the studentenwerk.

Please, make these moves ASAP. Private housing is very expensive and beyond the reach of students considering our budget of 670 monthly.

P.s You can PM me, I talked to someone and I might have something affordable for you in the short term.

Hi Vycta,

I am applying to TUM, winter session and will like to send my applications soon. So, if I may ask, when exactly are you likely to travel next week? Is it possible you help me drop off the document?

Also, since you're going to TUM, Id like to ask you and others who know about the school some questions:
1. I have just one hard copy reference letter now that I can use; others are addressed to other schools in the UK that I'm also applying to. What can I do about this? Plus I'm applying for both Power Engineering and Communications Engineering (same faculty). Is that even advisable at all? I love both courses sincerely, but if I'm to make a choice between both, it'd be difficult but I'd still choose Power.
SO....how many hard copy reference letter do I need? Is it possible to only upload them and not have to send hard copies?

2. How does one apply for the DAAD scholarship? I can't seem to find precise information anywhere (guess I'm looking at the wrong places or not searching well enough). Do you apply before the start of the programme, after you've secured the admission or when you've resumed?
I have a fairly good Bachelor's result and I'm really hoping to qualify.

Lastly, what are ,my chances of securing the admission, like what are the things they watch out for in the application? The aptitude test/ interview; what does it look like?

I'm sorry I have lengthy questions...please bear with me. I've read couple of pages on this thread but sincerely I still have these parts uncleared.

Right answers to these questions from any quarters will be saving a soul.

Danke Schon

Ya i don't mind dropping it off for you, will b in lagos this week. Pm me for details.

As for reference letter didn't submit any, didn't go through Skype interview I got a straight admission.

As for scholarships and double course or chances, I just got admitted, I still feel it's based on your motivation letter, transcript, certificates (documents submitted). I guess I will get to know more about scholarships in due time while studying at TUM. But what I can say is munich is expensive, inference drawn from my house hunt.

About what to send or upload the details are on their site.

Hi Vycta,

Thanks for the response. With your straight admission, I guess I have to ask you some more questions.
Sadly, I had to leave Lagos this morning to return to my base...but if I may ask, where are you at the moment?

About PM, I'm not sure I know so much about that,, I think only moderators have that privilege.
Instead, can you answer me via mail, I'd so much appreciate that.

Bro, just walk into any bank and enquire about Form A, they'll explain better.
However, to make your funds transfer possible via Form A, I know u'll need to present your (1). Int'l passport (2)Degree cert/Waec cert (3)Admission letter (4)Letter of Living Cost (u can request for that from ur school's welcome centre) (5)Ur DB account details in full (6) Ur 8090€ or it's naira equivalence.
The bank will give u their exchange rate and charges. Hope this helps.
