I advice all jambite 2 set a target of 220(minimum) in their respective utme examination. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE...it would be sorta diffcult to for stalite to jump on these tread cause of the harmanthan semester examination...coming up on monday 29 of feb... |
Re: Osun State University (UNIOSUN ) 2016/2017 Post UTME /admission Thread by otunbakplu(m): 8:14am On Feb 28, 2016 |
Now,that jamb has already started & rolling, very soon u'll guys(jambite&DE)would be thinking about p.utme & interviews respectively... It is always advice-able to know more abt the dept u ar about to choose....and to found out what & what is the cut-off mark... Therefore... Am gonna teach u how uniosun calculate ur p.utme score... Because uniosun run a 50-50% (utme & p.utme) to calculate p.utme final aggregate,UNLIKE other schools lyk Funaab etc that used the 50,30,20%(utme,o'levels & p.utme)respectively... Let's go..!! *1)-imagine u got 200 in jamb (u can put ur jamb score in place of 200) *2)-Now divide ur jamb score by 8 (for instance) 200/8=25% *3)- what that implies is that before u wrote/obtain. The post utme form u have 25% already..!! (Now try that with your current jamb score and See what u get already) *4)-Now fast-forward to post-utme exam imagine u Got 55/100 has p.utme score... *5)-what uniosun would do is to divide ur post utme score by 2(for instance) 55/2=27.5% (U can put the score u are aiming during p.utme there to determine your fate) *6) this is how ur FINAL SCORE WOULD BE LYK Utme 50%= 25% P.utme 50%=27.5% ------------------------- Your agrregate=52.5% -------------------------------- *7) YOUR FINAL SCORE IS GONNA BE 52.5 * all dis method was based on uniosun previous years 'AS OF WHEN WRITING/UPDATING THESE THREAD UNIOSUN HASNT ADOPTED ANOTHER METHOD OF P.UTME agrregaite score * has of when writing dis info General Cut-off mark still remains 45(for non-indigine) & 40(for indigine)....I stand to be corrected thou.. Although each dept has their respective cut-off marks...BUT THATS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.. If worst comes to worst u'll probably be given another course... *9) Thanks..I am oni oyekunle aka KPLUS I REP THE BEST FACULTY.."FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE"(FOA),DEPT OF ANIMAL SCI *10) my regards to mr okeke(MENTOR OF LIFE),still expecting ppl lyk UNIOSUN_GUY,BEN,OLA and others(don't be offended if I didn't mention ur name,u guys ar awesome..) to jump on these thread.. *11) FINALLY I would advice all aspirant on guest mood to join nairaland, and let's interracts its fun dwn here. *12) how many lyks do it get...?? 7 Likes |

Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Wednesday renamed all the state owned tertiary institutions after notable indigenes of the state. The Osun state University has been named after Chief Bola Ige, the former Attorney General of the Federation. The Osun state Polytechnic, Iree was named after former minister of Internal Affairs, Chief Sunday Afolabi Osun state College of Technology was named after Chief Bisi Akande, former governor of Osun state The Okuku campus of UNIOSUN was also named afer Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola Details later http://www.metronaija.com/2016/03/university-of-osun-state-now-bola-ige.html |

This is absolutely absurd. To think a state institution can just be stripped of its identity is ridiculous. The university has been striving so hard build a strong reputation since its inception. And to think the decision was made without the consultation of the students is even more inferiorating. Yes, I concur to the need to honour our heroes but we don’t need to strip the identity of a school to achieve that. Why not name halls or even bus-stops after such men. The so called freedom park in osogbo, why not name it "Bola Ige Freedom Park" rather than changing the entire name of a renown institution. I stand to say that this man called Ogbeni has a problem with placement of priorities. If not misplacement of priorities, is changing the name of institutions the next thing the state's agenda? I know there are some fellows somewhere who sees nothing wrong in this show of shame, but I want you to understand fully well that Uniosun is barely 10years old and still striving to gain recognition nationally and globally. Changing its name is a great setback in achieving that. I don't want us to go with the masses nor run after an administration because of religious views or whatever sentiment. I want to admonish students not to publicise that name be it UNIBI, BIU or whatever it may result to. Let us still hold unto this renown name "Osun State University" let us protect, preserve and keep Promoting it until it reaches quantum leap. I believe this unhealthy decision can be reversed if we come against it in unity. Let us remember that, the former president, GoodLuck Ebele Jonathan once tried to change the name of University of Lagos to Moshood Abiola University. That decision was countered fiercely by the students and they won the federal government. Now Unilag is still Unilag. We can do this fellow students. Let's share this article across various groups and campuses. Greatest Uniosun Students 1 Like 1 Share |

The JAMB change of course 2016/2017 is currently ongoing,as we posted earlier, you are suppose to change your course/institution before the JAMB closing Date. The aim of this post is to help and guide you in other to avoid mistakes that may not be corrected after changing your course,so if you have not done yours, kindly take 5-10 minutes to go through this post before proceeding. JAMB 2016 Change Of Course: Read This Before Changing Your Course Here are the things to not before changing your course: =»1. O’level And UTME Combination: Many JAMB candidates do not bear this in mind before purchasing their form, you ought to first confirm that your UTME Subject combination and your O’level result tallies with the required criteria needed to be admitted to study that particular course since many institutions have specific standard requirements for all courses offered. =»2. Changing From Course Not Related To Your UTME Combination: You read the heading right? You have to put it at the back of your mind when filling the form, imagine candidates who sat for science-related subjects in JAMB requesting to change their courses to a management-related course. There is no way any institution will admit you into a course that you did not meet the standard requirement to study. Avoid this mistake and choose wisely the course related with the one you sat for on your UTME exam. =»3. Choosing Wrong Institution: For candidates didn’t meet with their institution cut off mark and wish to change, you better make sure you are choosing the right institution, before changing your institution make sure you know the cut off mark, and you are that you beat the cut of mark. Also ensure that the institution are offering the course you are applying. Source:http://www.ngschoolz.com/jamb-2016-change-of-course/ Especially those of u going 4 nursing with very low jamb score better change to physiology, Anatomy, or Public Health To avoid stories that torch |
